I called UCONN yesterday and the told me they should arrive today or tomorrow.
@krish400158 I am sorry to hear that you have been told that the letter of acceptance is wrong. This is brutal. I hope they are incorrect and you get accepted.
@Krish400158â
Thatâs terrible! At least you know prior to receiving the letter (and celebrating) though. Hopefully you get good news in the next few weeks.
@Krish400158â wow - that is upsetting! I am glad they had the decency to call you , and I hope they felt badly about it. There are too many mistakes being made; colleges need to be more careful. But donât worry about UConn.i am sure you will end up somewhere great!
Sigh!!! why do they do these mistakes? This is ugly.
Thank you all for the condolences! Im just hoping they made a mistake on their mistake. Good luck to everyone else!
OMG im so sorry!
eeek maybe they made a mistake on the mistake like u said lol lets pray thats it
Thats Brutal to get an acceptance letter and say you get rejected? What is this?! They should give you the spot⊠:-/
Hi. My S got the SLU Med Scholars BS/MD pgm. We could not get into any other MD pgms. Just SLU only. So this is the only one if we decide to go that route.
One question on this SLU pgm. It appears it is just same as the other âEarly Assurance Pgmsâ that many colleges has for ANY admitted UG freshmen. Does any one has any thoughts on its? We want to be sure whether this is any significantly valuable compared to let us say Univ-of-Miami Early Assurance pgm. Thank you.
Only difference I could see is:
For SLU, one needs to take MCAT, however their test score does not impact their admission to medical school through the program. Where as for UMiami Early Assurance program needs MCAT score 32 and I guess, some GPA requirements.
SLU Med Scholars program also has a minimum GPA requirement of 3.65 both overall and in math and science courses.
Based on previous posts from SLU Med Scholars students, this program is very tough. It seems eventually there will be only 1/3 to 1/2 matriculate into its medical school while many dropped out, rejected, transferred etc. But again, if your S works hard and maintains good GPA, he will have very good to chance to get into SLU med school.
is the SLU medical scholars program being discussed here different than the University scholars program?
@GoodDoctorâ SLU medical scholars program is: http://www.slu.edu/x12904.xml
and for University scholars program that you mentioned is The University Honors Program, right?

I hope the link works.
@Me4college The University scholars program in medicine offered by WUSTL is found in http://admissions.wustl.edu/academics-majors/University-Scholars-Program-in-Medicine/Pages/default.aspx
Thanks for the link on SLU med scholars program.
No mail from UCONN today also
@GoodDoctor That might be good news. My D already received her reject letter through snail mail. I guess UCon sent out reject first?
@dadofd Sorry to hear the reject letter. It might also depend on where you live. I live in the west coast, so mail might take longer to reach me.
my D received her UCONN acceptance letter today
Did anyone receive Union/AMC acceptances this week. Based on what they said on the interview day, I thought AMC is going to send out letters every week(for candidates interviewed previous week) with either Accept/Still under Consideration/reject statuses.
Did anyone hear from AMC.
Thank you.
