@upstream oh really? do you know if they do it based on how qualified you are for the program, like those that are more qualified will get the supplement first and those that are less will get it later on?

Does anyone know when AMC sends out their first interview notifications (or rejections)? I submitted the supplement about a month ago now.
Has anyone heard from NJMS yet? Or are they a late school?

@faymer , I have idea when AMC sends out notification for interview, but I do remember from last yearās thread that someoneās AMC was rejected within week, although it was in Feb so may be they wanted to move along faster.

@upstreamā thanks!

@danceprincess123ā Iām hoping thatās not the case!

@faymerā I applied to the NJIT/NJMS program and I heard yesterday that my file was forwarded to NJMS. I did a few other New Jersey schools like Stevens and Rutgers but I havenāt heard from them yet.

@sm577501ā I did apply for Hofstraās program, but I havenāt heard anything yet. Have you?

I applied to a bunch of BS/MD programs with only my ACT score (except for Stony Brookās Engineering Scholars for Medicine because it was a requirement), because my SATs werenāt good in comparison to my ACTs. Do these programs show a preference to a certain test?

Are most of the colleges closed till Jan 4th? Should we not expect any more communication from colleges until Jan 5th 2015 (at the earliest)?

@jb9832 yeah fingers crossed thatās not the case with AMC!! how did NJIT inform you about your file being forwarded to the medical school, email or mail?

@jb9832 sorry but I have no idea whether RPI does rolling admissions. Which other programs are you applying to??

@jb9832ā we got the UG acceptance from Hofstra but waiting on their bamd.

@jb9832 @Deriveme RPI/Albany selects about half of the class by early March from students who had interviews prior to March and the rest of the class from the students who will have interviews from March till April and students who are still under consideration prior to March interviews.

@danceprincess124ā NJIT sent me paper mail a few days ago, saying something like āyou are one of the strongest applicants for the NJMS and we have forwarded your file. Bear in mind there is high competition etcā¦ā

I guess RPI/AMC is slow/random with the process. I feel like a lot of admissions offices are closed anyways. Iām thinking of sending them an email anyways just to see if anythingās missing from my applicationā¦ Maybe that will get the ball rolling.

@Derivemeā Brown PLME, Drexel/Drexel, Stevens/NJMS, Rutgers/NJMS, NJIT/NJMS, TCNJ/NJMS, RPI/AMC, Brooklyn/SUNY Downstate, Sophie Davis, Hofstra/Hofstra, idek the rest I think thereās a couple moreā¦

@sm577501ā I havenāt even received UG acceptance yet! Lol

For those of you who applied to Siena/AMC, interview notifications will be mailed out the first week of January!

Out of curiosity, did any of you who got an interview for Miami HPME get notification of an admission into UMiami? and did any of you get financial offers yet?

I know itās last minute but I was accepted into Brown PLME ED this year so if anyone has any last minute questions, feel free to message me. Best of luck to everyone here! I was in your position just a couple of weeks ago!

@lax1997 congratulations! I bet many people on this thread would give anything to be in your position right now lol. I just submitted my app to Brown for PLME (fingers crossed!) and was wondering about the interview. I know PLME doesnāt have a specific interview but does your interviewer know that you applied PLME anyway?

@Deriveme I mentioned that I was applying for PLME in my interview, before she mentioned it, so I really donāt know if she knew ahead of time or not. However, I did read on the Brown forum that another interviewer did know the candidate was applying for PLME. So I believe that they do know in advance. My interviewer did not ask me any questions specific to the PLME. She was just really nice and fun. We mostly talked about random topics, and she didnāt ask me any of the cliche questions that you hear about. Good luck!

Hi~ I applied for the Union/Albany, and I got through the initial round and apparently received an email on 12/23 for the Albany supplement, but I did not know when to expect it and it went to my SPAM mailbox, and I just decided to check last night at like 10 oāclock of 12/28 and it said that it was due on the 30thā¦ does anyone know what the rate of being accepted is? I do not think I have enough time to write compelling answers to the supplements, and I do not want to spend $110 and be rejected within a week because my stats are WAAAAY below average, and my ecās are only average as wellā¦ Another thing is that I am also really behind in my regulars that are majority due 1/1 and the rest in subsequent daysā¦ does anyone have any suggestions to how I should think through about this? Is it worth the try?

sigh

@plsjustacceptmeā see this link for Union/AMC (2012-13 cycle) rate (thanks to @upstreamā )

@Me4collegeā thank you so much!!! & thank you @upstream !! I guess the numbers are close to what I thought they would beā¦ Thank you!!!
