But what about college rankings? Do we need care?
Yes, few days back by email.
Did anyone get an interview invitation to University of Oklahoma Medical Humanities program? They have a pretty good NMF package.
GRU is 7 year program with 31 MCAT/ 3.7 gpa requirements vs.
UMKC is 6 year program without MCAT/ low gpa requirements.
I got an e-mail from Drexel/RMU couple days ago.
Good luck.
My DD just got an email today that she is a finalist for the Univ of OK Medical Humanities Scholars Program!! She is so very excited!!! She has an interview later in March. Does anyone know anything about the interview process for the Medical Humanities Scholars Program?
@megryan2015, is it for interview or accepted for drexel/rmu
Just got invited for an HPME interview!!
Does anyone know what it will be like/what types of questions are asked (other than the usual âwhy medicineââŠI apologize if this has already been asked/answered elsewhere in the thread!)
Has anyone heard from Stonybrook?
@jb9832 I applied & I havenât heard yet!
I called boston university all interview have concluded, so I guess that means my son didnt get in?
I have not heard back from NJMS which NJIT said they were forwarding his application and the same with TCNJ.
@carenro I applied to NJIT & TCNJ too and havenât heard back from NJMS either.
Does anyone know if you HAVE to get an interview to get accepted into the program?
⊠except Brown PLME.
Thanks! Thats what I thought. He needs to change his National Merit Scholarship to another school then. He is a finalist now and put down Boston University for itâŠ
@carenroâ
Sorry to hear about BU. If it makes you feel better, one of the admissions officers told me that they were looking for a particular trait in applicants. Even if your son or daughter had an outstanding profile, if they dont have that special element that the program is looking for, they might get turned down for an interview. Best of luck to you!
Also, do you know any programs that offer substantial financial aid packages for NMF students?
I know when he was a semifinalist he got full rides to some colleges he didnt apply to. My son goes to a Medical High School and doesnt mentorship at the hospital, so not sure what they are looking for. Last year some got accepted into BU program from his school.
One student who attended NW HPME interview told my son that Northwestern called 2 of her references after the interview to get some additional information, so she thinks she is going to get in. Has anyone else heard about NW calling references if they are interested in the candidate? I have never heard about this before and was curious. Thanks for any info.
Has anyone received admission from UCONN yet?
@GoodDoctorâ
My friend was admitted to NW HPME last year and her references didnât get any call. In my personal opinion alone, I would think that they follow up on students who are on the edge so it could go either way.
