***Official Thread for 2016 BSMD applicants***

I have covered most program if not all here for 2015 acceptances or 2014 acceptance, where 2015 data was not available. Read it as follows. In state, Out State, Total. Number of applicant, Interviewed, enrolled (This is not accepted, accepted student number could be higher) Along with GPA. SAT. ACT data for average student accepted for the program (This is not requirement, it is average of students accepted. Requirement to apply may be lower), where ever it was published. Here you go. Store it for future reference, so you don’t have to search this thread all the time.

@bearchichi much appreciated!

Just wondering, for those of you who got BU and HPME interviews, about how much time was between the time you were notified and your interview date?

I’m a junior now, and I want to apply to a couple programs. Do you guys have any advice? Do you think test scores and grades matter more than experience does? or vice versa? Anything would help. I’m already really nervous. Thanks

For those interest please look at this great site

The reasons why the programs are so competitive is " if one know he or she wants to be md then this is a straight shot and willy wonka golden ticket "

got Drexel Med invite for Ursinus

anyone apply to the combined programs at USciences?

Muhlenberg/Drexel Interview

BU interview notifications are over?

My son is a sophomore now and contemplate dropping French (foreign language class) in his junior year, so it would open a slot for another selective in science area. Anyone know if any these BS/MD programs require you to have at least 3 years of foreign language during HS? Thanks.

Do NOT drop foreign language class for science, even for a regular under admission. Unless you can get 5 on AP foreign language test without taking the class. Most colleges understand most kids only take one science class per year, especially AP science class.

@gettingdat2400 I just got the Muhlenberg/Drexel interview too!! Is yours also on March 5th?

Also, I haven’t heard back from HPME at all… they DO send you a rejection if they’ve reject you, right? ;-; Ahhhh, I’m in HPME limbo!!

Anyone heard from union/ albany admission desion?
Is hofstra done with interview invites?

Thanks @Mocha16.

If the school offers 15+ AP courses, what you think is a minimum number a student needs to take to be considered having a challenging academic record for a combined BS/MD program?

@eastcoast987 yes, all interviews for BU have been completed

Question: is it best to take AP Bio in 10th grade, AP Chem in 11th grade, and AP Physics C in 12th grade (with no background knowledge of physics), or Honors Physics in 10th grade, AP Chem in 11th grade, and AP Bio in 12th grade (my main concern is that schools will be unable to see my AP score if I take bio in senior year)
thanks!
