but if we haven’t received an email from SBU yet, it doesn’t mean we are rejected does it? im pretty sure nothing can be confirmed until a decision is sent…
@gettingdat2400 its more than likely you’ve been denied if you havent heard anything yet, but seriously, nothing in this side of college admissions is guaranteed and its worth your while to keep you fingers crossed!
anybody heard from rutgers newark? Also, I’m thinking about applying for the Temple Health Scholars program, but it looks like it’snot exactly a guaranteed acceptance to Temple Med School. Any thoughts?

Didn’t receive GAP invite and so I called since it has been a week. They said I have not been selected for GAP:( I have realized they are very serious about class ranking. You have to be in top 1- 3 % of your class. Which I am not. So it is one down for me.
@sonpat according to Rutgers email they will start interviewing mid Jan to mid Feb for undergrad.
@goaltobemd @sonpat if i havent heard from rutgers after they sent me the “next steps” email should i be worried? have you guys heard anything yet?

@aichoux I don’t think we need to worry. That email says they will let is know if we don’t make it to the next step. I think Rutgers is one of the last schools to contact you for the NJMS route. They said they would call to schedule am interview. So we should have the ringer on:)

@app2015 I am in the same boat. Do you see schedule an interview option now? I just saw it today. I can swear it wasn’t there until yesterday. But I might be wrong. Also, did you finish submitting family member recommendation?

@app2015 That is a progress then. I am sure your’s will follow soon. I got an email last week asking to download the recommendation form and submit it back within 2 weeks. Didn’t sound like if I had an option. That email came last week and then the request to interview with an alumni appeared today.

@goaltobemd Too bad Pitt GAP did not invite with such a strong background. Related to Rochester, you are right. They communicated that at some time they will update the web site to allow for alumni interview and that happened today. Till last week they were on tour and wanted students to do the in person interview in cities they visited. Family member rec is optional only. It is interesting that they are ok to get a rec from family member.
We got the postal rejection from SBU for GW as expected. But they asked if interested for SBU-LECOM DO, which we are not.
I am in the process of submitting my HPME application. They are asking for GPA to date in the self reported Grade Report. Do we include grades for first MP for calculating GPA ? Or should we just give the GPA from our transcript that has grades included only up to junior year? I have reported the senior courses and not mentioned any grades against that. Our second MP gets over only on Jan 30. Please advise.
