@88Mom88 however forgot to mention, yesterday I got am email from Hofstra saying welcome to Hofstra on the body. Nothing else! Weird!
@app2015 Looked at SLU but felt it is not guaranteed and did not get a good feel for it and hence did not recommend to my D.
@goaltobemd Hofstra - that is not good. Call them. How many students do they take?
@goaltobemd Checked Hofstra portal this morning. I did not receive any email from them in the past couple of weeks. The UG admission letter along with a large merit scholarship offer came in postal mail this afternoon. The letter saysâŠ" You will receive supplemental BS/MD information." Not sure whether they will send the supplement via email or postal mail.
@88Mom88 and @GoldenRock now I cannot even enter my credentials to log in! I will call them tomorrow. I didnât check how many get in? It was closer to home and I saw their medical college was ranked so I applied.
@88Mom88 and @GoldenRock âŠI could get into the portal now⊠Got accepted UG⊠Nothing in snail mail yet. Does your portal say anything about BS/MD? mine just says how to secure a seat and all⊠no mention of Bs/MD.
The Hofstra supplement is available and when I had spoken to them last month they told me we will get an invite and due date is Feb 1. However she mentoned we dont have to wait for the invite. We can send it in. by fax or email. Heartiest congratulations on the Merit Scholarship as well!!!

So a few questions to everyone who can answer them.
- I was accepted to NJIT but they said information regarding the Honors college and special programs would follow soon after. Have not heard anything back, has anyone else?
- I did an on-site for Hofstra as well and got in. I have not received my admissions packet nor information about the BA/MD program.
- For VCU, did anyone hear back from the Honors college and GAP in medicine? Thanks

- After the interview for the Honors college, I havenât heard back anything yet. Did you get an acceptance letter from the Honors college? Last week when I called the lady said they will be sending out next steps after the winter break.
- The portal says we have mailed you an admission packet. but you can view the electronic version on the left side menu drop down bar.
- I did not apply to VCU so no help there.
@goaltobemd The BS/MD info is in the letter (NOT on the portal).

@adamrocks you are referring to NJIT honors college and the Hofstra portal right? NJIT does not have a portal. They have communicated only via email and regular mail until date. If you havent heard anything from them you should call. They were the first ones to respond.
Hofstra- Somewhere else on CC I saw people got admitted as early as 12/12/15. Two of us in this forum got it only today. So I would not lose hope on that. Also did you apply EA to Hofstra?. I did. If RD you may hear it much later. This is what I gathered from the previous yearsâ threads. GL.
@goaltobemd Yes I am. I received their admissions letter but nothing from the honors college itself. and Yes I had an onsite admission on November 15th
@adamsrock so you went for their on site admission. That is not the traditional route so your case might be handled differently. Call them.
@adamrocks i had a instant decision day with NJIT as well. I was told it would supplement my regular BS/MD interview. I was also told I wold hear from them after break. I applied for VCU and have not heard from them
