Hofstra med app is by invite only. I got an invite late Dec and had to submit the supplement via email by early Jan. I do believe this invite + supplement process continues until Feb 1.

Hi to all. So i just recieved my GW portal id and checked the items they recieved already. for my friend, they had put that they recieved the āmedical applicationā but for me they didnt. Thatās weird because on commonapp, it said there was no extra application so i am confused
@adamrocks You are not alone! Yes, though there is no essay for BA/MD program in CommonApp, GWU Portal after submission had a check mark for 7 year BA/MD Application. But they sent on 1/5 email to submit supplemental app for BA/MD. So if any one has not got that email, it means you are out of consideration.
A month back I PM some one in this forum because of this weird thing with GWU status. Check if you selected the BA/MD program in commonapp question ādo you wish to be considered for accelerated programā?
Anyhow, as of now, it is a mute point. If you have received email for supp app and got the interview invitation, you are in, otherwise you are out. It appears GWU process is, if you are considered for next stage, you will get email, if not only we will get to know when they give admission for the UG (in March). We are in the same boat.

The deadline for submitting the GWU supplement was Dec 1. Perhaps they remove the supplement option after that?? I applied well before that and I have had the check mark saying 7-yr supplement was submitted for a while. The status is still under review - didnāt get the interview email so the GW boat may have sailed without me.
@allformd for GWU is your check mark for 7 Year BA MD Supplement submitted still showing it as is there or it is not showing there anymore after not getting interview?

@GoldenRock but if you got the supp then they should be sending you an email of interview/rejection because thatās what they did last year, right?
so approximately how many people get the interview for GW? I hate how they give out 0 statistics about this program- itās quite frustrating how hidden it is. maybe thats a good thing considering itās way too overpriced.
No supplement was submitted for GW, the check mark for 7 year BA/MD application is still on and no email for rejection. So I am totally confused about where we stand. However I have a nagging suspicion that all this means a rejection albeit the communication will be delayed.
What do you all feel?
GW seems to be using this program just to boost their average applicant stats and getting application fees. They donāt seem to be serious about it at all.

@HS2DirectMed does that mean that you know for sure that rejection means no acceptance?
@ultimate314 I was referring to UMiami emails (dated Jan 8th and 15th).
For GW, I received supplement on Jan 5th and submitted on 7th. Received invitation few minutes before 2 PM (PST) yesterday. They offered only one date (Feb 1st).

@HS2DirectMed thanks so much for the PM with details. That clears up the confusion. So basically they wanted you to wait till you get the details on the program so that you could make proper travel arrangements. E.g. worst case someone might be allowed to skip welcome dinner on Friday if they have other commitments on that day and reach early morning on Saturday.
I did not realize Baylor sent out med interview invitations. When did you get email from Baylor?
