<p>Did you get letters or check your status online? I checked online and it seems that I was accepted…I asked and the admissions office because before they said decisions were only mailed and said that a package was on the way.</p>

<p>I applied to Hofstra under the second EA deadline. How did you find your decisions? Resident mail, email, or on their website? If it’s found on the website, where on the website do you find this info? I went on a few times, but I didn’t really understand how to navigate through the site. </p>

<p>I applied through the Common App. I’m not sure if this makes a difference.</p>

<p>hi, i also applied EA to Hofstra. When i log on to my student account i says </p>

<p>"Secure your seat! Send your enrollment-orientation deposit today!</p>

<p>We are delighted to welcome you to Hofstra University. We know that Hofstra will support your growth and offer you the opportunity to reach your highest potential academically, professionally and personally"</p>

<p>Does this mean i was accepted?</p>

<p>I got a bright green envelope yesterday saying I was admitted and at the bottom it told me to check online to secure my seat etc. But I already new I got in because a week b4 the letter came, i checked online to make sure they had everything and it said congrats and secure your seat! So if you see it online then your definitely in! =]</p>

i also had amazing recommendations!
also, my essay was really good and i spent a lot of time on it. on my acceptance letter my admissions counselor even wrote me a little handwritten post-it note about how much she liked it!</p>

<p>I am still waiting as well… I am an international student! Is there anyone who is not from the States and has not received a decision letter yet???</p>

<p>I just got off the phone with admissions and they said that they didnt make a decision on my app yet, so it would at least be another 2 weeks. (Despite the fact that I applied for early action II which is suppose to guarantee a decision by January 15th.</p>
