I’m still considering Duke.

Wrong.

You only need to submit the supplement before October 19th if you want an interview.

I just did an overnight visit and I love Duke even more. It’s really hard to put into words what I like about it. If I don’t get in…

I’m applying RD because the whole idea of ED scares me a little… That being said, totally wanna be a Blue Devil 2017 :D

is it 2230 a bit disadvantage for duke ED?

Hey,
New member on CC here!

I’m an international applicant and I applied to Duke ED! I submitted my Commonapp, supplement and payment on October 19th. So on the commonapp page it says these have all been completed, but my school forms are shown with a red arrow, saying that it has not been submitted. My teacher said that it’s okay as my school is using Naviance edocs and my commonapp account has been linked with Naviance already. But I can’t help but be a little worried on whether or not they actually received my application because I didn’t get an email from Duke >.< How can I be sure that Duke really received my application?

Thank you! (:

To those who went on campus tours, please do share your expereince on how it was like ((:
I would really appreciate it (:
I don’t have the privilege of actually visiting Duke as I don’t live in the US DDD:

icecreamygirl,

I am currently an undergrad at Duke and would love to tell you more about the campus! Basically, the Duke campus consists of three parts: East, West and Central. As Freshman, you would live on East, but the bus commute to West campus takes no more than 15 minutes. Most of your classes will be on West, and it’s a giant Gothic Wonderland (especially now since Fall is fast approaching and it looks spectacular here!)When you get off the bus at the stop, you will come face to face with the Duke Chapel. A few key landmarks on West Campus include the Bryan Student Center, Science Drive (with a complete collection of Physics, Chem, engineering, biology buildings), the main quad (social sci and social psychology buildings), and Perkins library, which is opened 24/7. The major eatery on West is The Great Hall diagonally across from Bryan Student Center, but there is an assortment of dining choices on campus serving everything from Froyo to Vegetarian to fast food. We also have a building for the Sanford School of Public Policy, a Rubenstein Library of rare manuscripts, and a music library.
Hope this helps. Let me know if there is anything specific you are looking for!

Where are you from?

Update to my app: 2360 SAT Reasoning, 3 800s on subject tests.

Woo!

That’s pretty solid RahulKShah. Congrats!

RahulKShah- Almost same stats as my son! Same SAT and math, but his SATII Bio was “only” 780! I guess not fantastic by CC standards! He only has the 2 subject tests. He’s Pratt, by the way, so you two are not competing!!

Anybody willing to share which topic they did for The Common App?

who alls applying trinity?

I have applied ED Trinity.

My3gr8boyz, I chose my own topic. :D

Boy I hope I get in. I heard Duke’s ED acceptance rate will be at around 20% this yr

I would imagine that with the lower amount of ED applications the acceptance rate would increase.

2,586 applicants with around 525 slots in Trinity and 125 slots in Pratt should leave the acceptance rate at the same as last years 25%.

Well that’s better than a decrease! We can almost start the countdown…

ED for Pratt as an international student… So uneasy

Has any ED applicant gotten a likely letter from Duke?
