@detroitnr1 Do you think I have any chance of getting in?
Hi everyone. For those who were accepted within this week, could you tell me when you all submitted your apps? I submitted my app and materials around 9/24/15 and I am anxiously waiting and getting discouraged. Congrats to those accepted and good luck to those awaiting a response like I am.
Hey @collegegrl22 , I wouldn’t worry too much at this point. I think the order in which acceptances go out depends on a lot of factors (whether the person previously applied to UM, how many credits they have total (those with junior+ standing might be given priority), as well as the department that you’re applying to. I’ve heard that most departments are rolling while others evaluate all candidates at once before sending out decisions. I was a little freaked out myself because I haven’t heard back, but I think a lot of people are in the same boat.
@wolv13 have you received your decision yet?
@delab95 not yet! I think all of the CoE decisions come out at once. Just not sure when that is.
I applied to CoE and got my rejection email today
I’m sorry to hear that. Remember the path we want most isn’t always the best one for us. I try to remember that, especially since I went through so many rejections when applying to colleges the first time around. You’re going to do amazing things regardless. You need to be believe that
@VidaMia24 Have you received your decision?
Anyone got in LSA? I’m anxiously waiting for a decision (applied for Economics).
Admitted!!! I am an international student from MSU,I submitted my common app on the late Sep. and found out I was accepted this morning on WA!! this was the second time I apply to UM and finally my dream came true!! I’ve been following the transfer threads since the beginning of this year and seeing lots of posts about getting in UM, I never thought of I’d be one of them and post something like this!
Good luck to everyone still waiting!
Just found out I got in today! I got in LSA. I have been reading this thread daily anxiously waiting for my result and finally I am relieved to be accepted! I am transferring from 2 years at a community college and a semester at Oakland university. I am premed so u of m is the best school I could possibly go to at this point. Good luck to everyone hope you find out soon!
Congratulations to all accepted!
@delab95 I applied to CoE too. I’m still waiting for my decision.
@VidaMia24 You are also applying to UIUC, right? I’m also waiting for my decision, I hope they send them soon! I’m really starting to worry! If they accept you on both, UIUC and umich, to which would you go?
@delab95 Yes, I’m applying to several, including UIUC and UM. I think I’d be lucky to attend either, but my decision will depend on financial aid and the the number of credits I’m able to transfer. They’re both great schools very recognized for engineering disciplines.
@VidaMia24 Please let me know when you receive your decisions! Is Purdue also one of the several to which you applied?
Does anyone know where the sophomores usually live on campus? North, Central, or Hill?
^From what I’ve heard “The North” (like Game of Thrones and at times even resembles Eddard Stark’s homeland) is where most engineers live as it is close to the College of Engineering. Central campus is closer to everything, but is less private. I think it just depends on what each individual sophomore wants and what their major is. Congrats to all who got accepted!
I applied as a winter freshman, and haven’t received a decision yet. Also I have twice been told by a counselor that I should expect one in Mid November. Is that good or bad?
I’ve got no idea! I am starting to worry, I’m not sure if it is a got thing that they are taking so long with the decision.
Accepted to LSA!! I’m so excited right now!! I guess the admissions office updates the wolverine decision status around 1-2AM est. Decision view was not available when I last checked yesterday night. I am an international student applying from 4 year public unversity(3rd semester) with 3.96 GPA. I sent one recommendation letter written by an academic advisor, and one from my former employer, with a decent essay (I think). No SAT or ACT submitted, so for those of you who did not submit standardized test results, cheer up! Ask me whatever questions you may have, I will share my information with you. I hope we all can see in Ann Arbor. Good luck!
