All my reported posts have been responded to, not necessarily immediately, but certainly within 24 hours. So somebody is clearly monitoring, even if we do not know who.

The vast majority of my post reports have also been addressed. Its taken time, but it has been done.
I just wish the powers to be would give a small update on what has stalled the correction of issues.
And how do you know? You see something was deleted? I get that there are limits and delays, but It’s funny you are asking me to be, well, patient. Ya know?
The poster I have in mind caused a great deal of “CC grief” on one thread, in particular. Over more than a week. Maybe now something has been said to her. I have no idea. I also can’t know how many flagged her versus just attacking her back.
So what’s changed after the maintenance break?
I was wondering the same thing, mrnephew! I wondered if things would be fixed, or yet more would be wrong. What’s “maintenance” mean to the CC administrators these days?

I was logged out on my PC this morning. Happened yesterday, too.
I do see one thing that’s different, I think. Beneath our posts, where the Like/Helpful/Facebook buttons are, it seems like there’s a button missing but I can’t remember what it was that used to be there. Wasn’t there a 4th button before the Like button or am I imagining it?
Edited to add: I just figured it out – it’s the Flag button that’s missing. So we can no longer report posts that violate the TOS?
Good catch, patsmom! Yes, there’s no longer any way to report posts. Trolltopia is on the horizon.
Well, one way NOT to have to deal with problem posts is to remove th “flag” button. Guess that is how this site chose to do it. Ridiculous.
I sure hope this gets fixed ASAP…not like all of the other issues that have gone unaddressed for months.
Maybe this IS what the forum owners want. I mean really…mistakes with the new format development and now this? I’m not sure this was a mistake.

Okay, so maybe this is just me … but I can’t get the advanced forum search function to work this morning. I wish an administrator would respond just to let us know whether the missing flag button and lack of search ability will be permanent.
Another “missing” feature…ability to do a forum search. You get “zero” matches.
One could still report posts, but that would mean composing a PM to an admin/mod, and pasting the entire post with the date/time (since there are no post numbers) into the PM. Who’s going to bother doing all of that?
Well, yes…and I did that. I also posted right ON the thread that I thought it was spam. Someone is reading…that thread is already gone.
But it’s not very efficient.
Wow, seriously? How did they manage to make the flag button disappear?
I kinda feel like we’re in the CC hunger games. Keep adding challenges and see how long posters survive.

I don’t know. I can search on, say, thumper, and see her most recent posts. I searched on a keyword from a thread and got results out of order (January posts, recent ones down the page. I don’t carry around in my brain the memory of whether it was always like that.) BUT, that results page— I show as not signed in. Backpage and I am again logged on. That’s on the laptop.
This isn’t an ordinary site. We’re a pretty savvy group and the large bulk of the “life” here is ‘We, the People.’ Ok, not everyone is savvy, many just amble in and out, post their whatevers. But I think somewhere, somehow, we deserve some explanations, along the way. Even if it’s just to those who join a thread like this one or peek in occasionally.
I know, I know. That’s already been said a few hundred times.
