official transcript and secondary school report

I'm confused about the secondary school report. I know the counselor turns that in, but if that's for the counselor, then how do we turn in the official transcript from out school I know Stanford wants an official transcript, but how do I turn that in(there's no mailing label for it either). Also, i read the application instructions for YALE and it doesn't say anything about an official transcript, but I'm sure they want it. How do you submit the transcript..im confusd thank you

ask your school; they need to send out an official version

cant we just upload the official transcript and send them via the commonapp....like without the hassle of mailing

or do all colleges ask for a hard copy of the original transcript?

an official transcript is a physical document. If it's digitized, it's not official.

At my school the counselor sent out the transcript in the same sealed envelope as the secondary school report.

By the way, could someone please answer me whether I should translate by myself the school transcript (because I am an international student) or I should have an official translation?

@ ThisCouldBeHeavn.... even the secondary school report can be submitted online, no?..and the commonapp says that when the counsellor submits the SSR, he can attach the transcript with it

Could you please confirm/deny this?

@nifida, you need to have an official certified translation, meaning that you cant translate it yourself
