<p>All schools require you to send in an official transcript. What does one look like? What kind of information is on it?</p>
<p>Just hit up your guidance counselor and she'll send it to the school. Just says what classes youve taken, what grades you got, and your GPA/class rank.</p>
<p>It looks remarkably like an unofficial transcript, which is the report you get when you ask about your GPA. The official one, however, is in an envelope and sealed, to ensure that you did not tamper with it. Ocassionally the counselor is asked to sign it to prove that no one meddled.</p>
<p>Official transcripts at my high school also had all sorts of security things, like watermarks, color-shifting ink, and some sort of impregnated ink that makes the word "copy" show up all over any photocopy you make of it. I don't know how common this is.</p>
