LOL, you were not rejected because you were overqualified. That makes no sense since many with higher stats got in. I suspect if you showed little interest that played a much bigger role in the decision.

Congrats on USC, Brandeis, etc. Fine schools, you will have a great time whichever of those you choose.

Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Essay, GPA, ECs
[] Weaknesses: Lack of APs, difficult to show my personality without a supplement…
[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: There is a certain deadline that LA students who meet certain criteria can apply by and be automatically admitted. I met the criteria but missed the deadline. I think that they had already admitted a ton of LA students due to that program, and they could tell that I wasn’t interested.
[] Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected:
Accepted: Harvard (Likely), UofChicago, Vanderbilt, UNC- Chapel Hill, Carleton, Drexel (Honors College), LSU (Honors College)
Waitlist/Deferred: Deferred Brown ED, Waitlisted at WashU (along with everyone and their mother)
Rejected: None so far. Just waiting on Yale and Brown now, but I’m sure Yale and Brown will appear in this category shortly.
[/ul]

General Comments:
I honestly wasn’t really considering Tulane and will not be taking my place on the waitlist. I’m a yankee at heart, and I’ve been in good ole’ LA a bit too long. Nevertheless, congrats to all admitted. LA has the most vibrant and fun culture you will ever experience. Embrace New Orleans- specifically the food and the Saints, but really, the FOOD. If you’re from up north and are just now heading below the Mason-Dixon, be prepared for the freshman fifty, not fifteen! We Cajuns can COOK.

aleader - you are a class act. Nice comments. You will do well at Harvard or wherever you end up. Good luck! My daughter did the freshman 15 at TU in 2006. but 50, ouch!

a class act and “a leader”

Waitlisted

SAT 2180
IB
Lot of AP`s
HPA 4.86 (after fall semester)

I do not want to wait Tulane anymore…just want to make my college decision and be done with it. It will be UNC-CH honors or UF Honors…both are equal on my scale…Please somebody help…

Help with what and how, exactly? If you are wanting help deciding between UNC and UF, you will get better info on those boards.
