**Official Tulane Class of 2015 Decisions Thread**

Can someone explain Tulane’s RD notification process? DS applied RD back in November and thought he would hear back by now. Is it a rolling process, or do the bulk of the applicants not get notified closer to April 1?

There is no hard and fast rule. Tulane only promises to notify by the traditional deadlines, yet they tend to do it like a rolling process. What does his Gibson page say? If it says the app is complete, then you can only wait. Check that out and make sure nothing is missing.

Oh, so I was admitted with the 20k scholarship over a month ago, but I got an invitation to the honors program today. Does that usually happen? I thought honors invitees were notified with their acceptance letter.

It is unusual. Did you make an appeal to get into the program?

freakozoid-
There is no “electronic engineering” (nor electrical engineering) major at Tulane. Currently only Chemical and Biomedical

Nope, just got another letter. That would be a sick, sick joke

FallenChemist, DS’s Gibson page says “complete.” Will he get an email notifying him of a decision, or does he just have to keep checking Gibson? Thanks…

He has to keep checking Gibson, and if he forgets to do that the snail mail letter will show up.

Shermani - well, that’s great. They must have looked at your stats again. Congrats.

Thanks for the info!

Thank you! It’s astounding how much merit aid Tulane gives, it’s definitely working

Oops, I forgot to change that. I copied my stuff from another thread so that slipped by me… probably chemical instead.

Georgetown deferred you?? Really? They must be nuts. Congrats on your acceptance at Tulane. Personally I don’t think your class rank is a weakness. When you are in such a small class in an obviously very high achieving school, it is a different kind of assessment rather than pure percentage. Did you apply for the DHS at Tulane?

does the time you get your decision depend on when you applied? If you applied in january versus november would you get your decision later?

Not necessarily. There are other factors involved, like if you are borderline or not. Might depend on other things we mere mortals are simply not aware of.

I applied mid December after being deferred by both Hopkins and Georgetown. My application however was not complete until about the second week of January due to a mistake by my counselor. When should i expect to hear back? I really want to go to Tulane. I got accepted into UNC-Chapel Hill, do i have a good chance of getting into Tulane?

if you applied EA the probably 3-4 weeks from the day everything was submitted.
