i applied regular decision, but regular decision applicants have received their decisions witin a week i have read.

My son applied regular decision back in November and just got his acceptance letter today in the mail… Presidential Scholar with $25,000 per year merit scholarship and invited to join Honors Program. A big relief – his first acceptance. So nice to have this in the pocket as we wait until March for other decisions. (His stats: 2320 SAT, 4.3 weighted GPA, three varsity sports including captain of two.)

Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: This is my first acceptance

Son found out online about 10 days ago that he was accepted EA. We’ve been waiting for the acceptance letter in the mail. In today’s mail we received a small envelope with a magnet (5X6) and on the front it says “Congratulations! You’ve been admitted to Tulane…” There is nothing else in the envelope. Is this the acceptance letter? Seems odd. Did we miss another letter? No mention of scholarship, just a magnet.

That is not the letter. You usually would have received it by now. If you don’t have it by Wednesday, you might want to drop an e-mail to the admissions counselor for your region and mention that it might need to be sent again.

I haven’t heard about mine yet but here is my friend’s decision

HI, do you guys when the merit aid will come out? Are international students eligible for merit aid? Thanks guys!

Merit aid comes at the time of your acceptance, but they only tell you in writing, not on the Gibson notice. So since you are accepted, as you saw via e-mail, you will find out about any merit scholarship (if you get one at all) when you get the physical package. International students are eligible for merit scholarships. There is also a special scholarship for students from Latin America, if you happen to be from there. They will not tell you about merit scholarships on the phone either. That’s just how they do it.

DD was accepted with Presidential Scholarship. 2320 SAT.

Cichlidfish - and she is international?

No she is from here. Although her dad was an international student long time ago. LOL.

OK. I was just wondering if you were referring to Tanhunganh’s question. Congrats to your D!
