***Official Tulane Class of 2016 Decisions***

My granddaughter has been accepted to Tulane Honors. She has applied for Financial Aid. Does anyone know when Financial Aid award information has been posted in past years? Has anyone accepted to Tulane received Financial Aid award amounts for Class of 2016? Thanks so much for your help.

I believe this information is usually sent out around the last week of March, often spilling over into early April. While sooner is better, of course, since students have until May 1 to decide it should give her plenty of time to weigh her options.

fallenchemist,
Thanks so much for your information! I have been reading this blog for the past few weeks and you have been a great source of information. I appreciate your help and I’m sure other reader’s do, as well.

Thank you HaleysGram. I really do appreciate the feedback; like anyone I like to know what I am doing is useful. Best of luck to Haley, I am sure wherever she ends up will be wonderful for her, since she is obviously a great student. Tulane would be lucky to have her.

applied RD received aid package last week ,north east

Dogears,
Did you receive Merit Aid (she already received that) or Needs-Based Financial Aid? If the later, how did you receive (email/snail mail)? Thanks.

received 27k merit and unfortunately no aid just 5k loan in gibson account under financial aid then by snail mail

Thanks for the information. We are hoping and praying that our granddaughter receives decent financial aid. She received great merit aid, but still not enough . . . thanks for letting me know that aid notifications have started. The wait is almost over . . .

congrats everyone! feel free to PM me with any questions about Tulane :)

APoverload - You don’t apply for honors at Tulane, at least not as an entering freshman. They either offer it to you in your acceptance letter or they don’t. If you are only seeing your acceptance online so far, you wouldn’t know if they offered it to you or not. You will only see that when the paper letter comes. Used to be the same with any merit scholarship offered, but I guess now you can see that online as well. If they offered you the Presidential scholarship worth $27,000 per year, then you will be offered honors as well. If it is the $25,000 scholarship (Distinguished Scholars) then they probably will, but not absolute.

have all of the RD decisions been released?

My daughter applied on the later side of the deadline and has not yet gotten her RD decision. Her Gibson account says that her application is complete and that a decision will be rendered soon.
I think, like most universities, they will released the last batch of RD decisions next week before or by 4/1.
Good luck everyone!!

If you haven’t heard by now is it a good chance that you got denied?

Not necessarily. They are still getting to some applications for the first time.

Yeah not true…I am pretty sure I will be admitted to tulane, and I haven’t heard yet, I applied in October…(I’ve gotten into UCLA and WashU)

ndude - If you think you might still want to go to Tulane (congrats on UCLA and WUSTL, btw) then you should check with admissions to make sure they show your application as complete. Sometimes things get screwed up.

What about applicants who applied EA and were deferred, but still haven’t received a decision? Do you think that probably means a denial is coming?
