Official UC Berkeley Haas Transfer Thread 2017

@matxdvd200 did you seriously just make an account to criticize someone else’s accomplishments? I can tell your definitely Haas material…

Congrats @jonathaanv

@matxdvd200 hard work never goes unnoticed, that’s how.

@GoHaasOrGoHome thanks man!

Got regents scholarship at UCI. I plan on doing pre med there if rejected from Haas.

Btw, how much aid do you guys think I can get if family income is around $85,000 and I submitted FAFSA late. Turned it in today

@78lazy6 Premed vs Haas (Business) are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Why did you chose to apply as two radically fields? Do you not really care about what you want to study?

That’s my boy @Jonathan1 ! Keep grindin’ on.

@matxdvd200 - What a faulty, presumptuous judgement. You’ve lacked to take into consideration that particular school’s demographics, student pool, gap years, varying levels of academic rigor instilled by campuses/professors, etc.

Hi… Does anybody know of any student who did fine in the interview but still did not get in? I am getting anxious as the day gets closer.

@michellefisherm There are probably quite a few people who do well in the interviews but still don’t get offered admission. Nature of the beast when there are such few spots.

To all: 5 more days until decisions! With that being said, I hope everyone’s been working hard and grinding out the last semester. It’s so surreal that the week to which we have been waiting for is finally approaching. I’m hoping that most of us receive good news this upcoming week; however, let’s keep in mind that whichever way decisions ultimately swing for us, we’ve worked extremely hard and are bound to attain great success. I’m honored to have had the chance to converse with such supportive, inspiring, and motivated people from this thread, and wish you all the best of luck!

Best of luck to all. Get ready for the longest week of our lives!

Do you guys know people who didn’t get interviews and still got in?

@skrrrtskrrrrttt yes!

@skrrtskrrt I think more people don’t get interviews and get in than those who do and get in. I never had one and I got in.

@briank82 which is looked at more, uc essays or haas essay? Also, will an okay resume make or break the decision?

Time is moving so quickly! With UCLA out the way, only thing left is the death sentence of waiting for Friday.

Congrats to anyone else who got into UCLA!

YEAH BUDDDDY

Whaddup haas peeps. UCLA-check… 1 down 1 to go

hope

@briank82 Definitely. Interviews were conducted over 3 days for about 8 hrs./day, scheduled in 30 min. blocks. According to my calculations that would be 48 total interviews if all slots were filled.

@CharlesC that’s assuming if applicants were interviewed one at a time. I’m assuming multiple faculty members/alumni conducted interviews, possibly at the same time.
