*** official uc davis 2022 waitlist**

@calcollegemom do you work for UC Davis admissions?

I’m not holding out much hope for my son at this point, but…probably important to note that it “appears” that Cal’s waitlist and UCSD’s waitlist are still open based on the discussions in CC, so it’s possible that some spots may open for Davis if those committed switch…

So I called again. The guy said that we should get decisions starting next week before June 1st, or at least that’s the plan. Hopefully they actually do

Just looked at my portal and I was rejected from the waitlist :frowning:

@madrawinglover

Same here.

got rejected. 1540 sat 4.38 gpa

My girl was rejected too, so was her friend.

@cutiepie679 I don’t think it was your stats, I think they just didn’t have spots

@momofNASAnerd thank you, and i hope so because i really tried my best and i thought that it would be enough.

My daughter too, @cutiepie679. So let me ask you something-- are you an introvert or extrovert? My daughter is EXTREMELY introverted, and unfortunately I think the UC application system is geared toward extroverts.

Although she was accepted to UCSB – but they specifically said they value a well-rounded student body over a well-rounded individual student.

Sorry for the double post

@momofNASAnerd i think in regard with extracurriculars and essays, my extrovert side showed more, but i feel like in new situations i’m definitely an introvert

@momofNASAnerd and same, i committed to UCSB! i was just really hoping that davis would pull through

Oh no! Did anyone get accepted?

@cutiepie679 my girl did not. She decided she isn’t ready to go that far from home – which is a valid choice for a 17 year old. So now we decide between State college where she did SIR, or CC then TAG to a UC.

My DD got rejected as well. But she got off the waitlist at SLO earlier in April and already accepted there. So she’s happy with that!

@momofNASAnerd congrats to her!!

Rejected

DS got rejected today as well. Sad because it was his top choice. Best of luck to others still waiting and hoping.
