@ScottsTotts the may wave is usually around a week after decision day, and also i love your username haha the office is my fave tv show
waitlisted for Bio Major
UW GPA: 4.24
ACT: 29
EC: president of Badminton Club (4 years), 3 years Marching Band, 1 year winterguard, 2 years symphonic band, 1 year Link Crew, 1 year National Honors Society, 150+ CS hours
Essays: good ( I had them read by a teacher, advisor, and a friend to get an academic, professional, and personal opinion)
Also last year decisions weren’t released until mid-May and there seemed to be way more applicants this year so I feel like they will probably make us wait that long
uc santa cruz’s first wave has been released
Yes, i know! Unfortunately I am also waitlisted at uc santa cruz! UCD and UCSC were my two top choices and got waitlisted to both Got an email from ucsc saying first wave is released and there will most likely be more coming…just tired of waiting, really impatient. And thank you haha, the office is my favorite show too @cutiepie679
I’m waitlisted as a Biological science major. I really hope we get in because I want to be apart of UC Davis’ amazing research team and community!! I was reading waitlist acceptance stats and in 2015 only 1% of the people who accepted the waitlist got in and in 2016 it was 74%. So I guess it varies year to year, super nervous!!
@777college777 what are your stats? (Just curious bc I’m also a bio major)
I am a biochemistry major. Are there any other biochem majors on this thread? Just wondering.
bio med eng my alternate is bio
i feel like there are no neurobio majors here yikes
I was waitlisted for Neurobiology, physiology, and behavior also. For clarification, Santa Cruz only admitted OOS and International students so they can get the 18% cap before they admit in-state students.
@Panduhr Do you remember when the school of agriculture released their decisions? I know it’s not going to be the same now, but what was it like when you got accepted? I’m super anxious as I chose my major in agriculture, which is popular and impacted at Davis.
@UJazzy The first person to get accepted from an AG major was on the first day admissions were sent out (May 5th my year). It’s hard to say what will happen this year though. It will depend on how many other AG majors turned down Davis for another school.
Best of luck to you, UJazzy.
@ndhi786
SAT: 1280
UC GPA: 3.78
Took 11 APs in total
My stats aren’t that high but I did 1025+ community service hours, 4 years of leadership council as secretary and class representative, 4 years of MESA, was in a leadership position that hosted events for my community, tutored children at libraries, and internships at my school.
@777college777 HOLY COW! I’m surprised all those ECs didn’t get you accepted. Good luck to both of us I guess
@ndhi786 Haha, hope we both get accepted
@davis262736 My DS is also a biochem major. Keeping fingers crossed for us both!
Hello,
Has anyone heard anything from the wait list yet?
From reading last year’s forum it seems like they did not send offers off the wait list until mid May, but I was wondering.
I haven’t yet
No, I haven’t.
