@MichaelJarvis may i ask why your TAG was denied for UCSB with that GPA?
I’m guessing because I took most of the classes to fulfill the TAG at U of A. Also I think I was required to take all the TAG classes prior to Spring 2017 semester which I didn’t, I’m taking the last English class this semester. I took two English classes but getting them to both transfer to SBCC and then approved to fulfill the TAG was a long process.
Last year, UCI Open House was on the 16th, and transfer decisions were released on the 14th. If UCI stays consistent with last year, then we can’t rule out admissions decisions being released on the 20th or 21st, since this years Open House is the 22nd.
@MicaelJarvis I tagged to UCSB and you’re right. You were supposed to finish your Math and English requirements before Spring. But with those stats, I’m sure you’ll get in.
@MichaelJarvis Why do you say IGETC will most likely be completed?
@enpz45 I say that because it’s hard to say which classes from U of A fulfill which requirements for IGETC, when I met with a counselor before this year started she was confident I had fulfilled them all.
@MichaelJarvis Dang, that could be the reason why your TAG was denied through UCSB. I don’t think biz econ is an impacted major over at UCI and the 1 year at a ccc definitely helps your cause. I think you’ll be good.
So do you guys think we should hear back on the 14th or the 21st? :o im dying
Major: Psychology
UC GPA: 3.23
Pre-reqs: Will be done by fall
IGETC: Done
EC: Paid by the school as a tutor in the major, Published work in research conferences, and president and VP of service club.
I’ve been ghosting the forums but decided to post my stats just in case it helps anyone lol
@futurelawyer88 no no no, they can’t do this to us. We’ve been waiting for an eternity as it is… if I don’t hear back on the 14th, I will just start calling them daily asking for an update.
My college had transfer day today- asked the UCI rep when we’re gonna start hearing from them. He said it should start rolling out by the end of this week-beginning of next week.
Almost there, guys!
Hi everyone! Does anyone know how long the rolling period is? I know that when I was in high school, my rejection took FOREVER because it was rolling admissions and I waited weeks to find out their decision… hopefully for transfers, they’ll let everyone know in a timely manner?
@futureanteater97 Should be starting tomorrow up until next Friday I believe (not 100% sure).

They started posting around 2 around this time of last year. I haven’t seen anything change for me this morning maybe this afternoon?
Do you guys know if it will be TAG students first or have those students already received their decisions? I was looking at last years thread and it seems like 4/14 was mostly TAG students…
Hey just a general question for anyone who knows this process; if you are accepted to UCI but have a pre req still not completed what is the best way to go about that? Take it this summer before you start? Will they even accept you if you have not completed them all? Thanks for the help. (Major is Business Econ or Quantitative Econ and the pre req is a second calculus course)
@futureanteater97 If you look back in this thread (mid to late march) you’ll see quite a few TAG and H2H students who received their decisions.
@enpz45 Thank you! I was getting a little anxious. I did not TAG and my friends who did TAG have already heard back so I was hoping that now, it’ll be the regular transfers! Looking at last year’s thread made me a little nervous bc the majority of people hearing back around this time were TAG but hopefully this year is different!
Apparently, according to this website, the bulk of decisions will be released on the 27th? http://admitguide.com/
@futureanteater97 Idk, definitely a lot of info there, but I would not trust an unofficial resource. According to them, UCSB will notify starting 19th, yet I know quite a bit of people who already got in (without tag), and seems like UCSB thread has some early acceptances too…
Well, 14th or 27th - by 30th everyone should know for sure Hang in there.
