Official UC Irvine Fall 2017 Transfer Applicant Thread

@pineapplecake pre reqs? I also applied for business econ. 3.5 GPA

Congrats to everyone who got in today! DON’T LOSE HOPE. This is just the beginning guys we’re almost there.

I know I will get in. Believe in the Law of Attraction baby

@ParadoxicalFire it’s because of your units. if you’re above a certain amount you’re considered at senior standing. that’s all it means.

@gabyitzelq1 how is that possible? I thought you can only transfer 70 units

Yea, I’m in my second year and I was given senior standing. It maybe because of my AP Credits

@shooguu UC Berkeley EECS, UIUC, and CMU ~ I came from a very competitive school so I want some self-pride attending UCI because it was also my first choice back in high school ( a year ago lmao) My parents also tell me that my gpa doesn’t define me but my work ethic and how I attack problems/situations because my dad is an elite person at his tech company (working as software eng). I also want to attend UCI because it may open doors for me socially and economically because living in the Bay Area is pretty expensive.

CONGRATS BRO!

I’ll get crippling depression if I don’t get in with my 3.5 gpa lel. Yeah looking at past UCI transfer threads it seems easier this year. Last year transfer range was like 3.33+

Did anyone get rejected at all? And it seems that UCSB is more difficult to get in than UC Irvine. UCSB has a cut off around 3.2-3.3 this year. Weird.
