Official UCB Countdown

@northbeach: I think philosoup was talking about the UCLA URSA, because Cal does not have one that calls URSA, rather it called as Bearfacts, and you only allow to access that if you are a registered summer session student. The reason is you are not allow to make your own initial Calnet ID and password, you have to wait for them to sent you the initial ID number and PIN to create a Calnet ID.

6 more days! =)

@moonkittie
oh, thanks! thought that might be the case. probably a good thing, don’t need to spend another week obsessing and speculating like last week for UCLA. six more days! CAL. hope we all get in, including me. hehe

six. more. days.
at least i got into la. wooooooooot!

[Barenaked Ladies - One Week (Video) - YouTube](<a href=“Barenaked Ladies - One Week (Official Music Video) - YouTube”>Barenaked Ladies - One Week (Official Music Video) - YouTube) Should have posted this yesterday, but I think its still fitting lol

@moon, thanks for the information :)

I disappeared from CC for like 12 hours after UCLA’s decisions. I think that’s the longest I’ve gone without seeing you guys in a month!

Anyway, home stretch for Cal! Eeeep!

I have transferitis so bad; i can’t concentrate on any of my homework!!!

Not that I ever felt like I didn’t have a legitimate shot at getting into Cal, but yesterday’s UCLA admission made me so much more confident in my overall “profile.” I’m sure a lot of you can relate, as I was merely doing what I needed to do (staying on top of prerequisites, grades, etc.), but everything felt like it was going too well and an irrational worry started to brew in me. Now I’m satiated and won’t have nearly as much anxiety waiting one more week for Berkeley.

Congratulations to all of you who got into UCLA as well, and if you didn’t, don’t be discouraged. UCB’s holistic approach to picking admits really allows for those “diamond in the rough” applicants to shine, so if you’ve got a solid case that was tarnished by a couple bad classes, they’ll see it in you.

Six days! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Does Berkeley let everyone know at once about decisions? Is there anyone out there who has been admitted to Berkeley yet?

^ everyone at once.

@Zimdiggy: Cal is similiar to UCLA, they will let us know at once on April 27th.

@justine: You were really helpful to all of us, and with such a high GPA, I’m sure you will get into Berkeley. =)

@northbeach: anytime. =) unfortunately, I am enrolled in the summer session, so I have to obsessing for another week, haha.

Best Luck to all for you!

@moon, I’m considering enrolling in summer session, actually. even if I don’t end up at Cal, I can use those credits elsewhere, and I’m kind of itching to get some UC class experience under my belt. now I need 1000$ . . . haha

hi.
Do you guys know how competitive it is to get into Berkeley Econ. My GPA is 3.73… any chance?

@lily
to be honest, 3.73 stands a really slim chance for econ major. However, if you have really good EC, it is another story.

Hey guys

Anyone here applied Cal as applied math major? It would be nice to know someone has the same major as mine. I am transferring from Santa Monica college.

@beyond3000 - I’m pure math, but until upper divisions we have pretty similar paths

six more days… waiting waiting.

@beyond3000 @JetLogic I’m applied math. I heard almost no one got accepted into this major. I don’t know why…

what are we going to do with ourselves for the next week, no URSA, no MyUCLA (i mean) MyCAL to obsess about. hmmmmm… don’t tell me i am going to have to do my homework finally? ack! “run away, run away!”

@justine: =) come join me, in fact, earlier the day, they finally updated my financial aid page, now I can see my award for 2012 - 2013. If you join now, you might able to know your acceptance little earlier. =)

@northbeach: you should, you should. =) Same goes for me. I know it is very hard to concentrate at this moment, but just thinking about staying at community college another year, I giggled.
