@beyond3000 I’m applied math as well
@ SBlee483 Where did you hear that?

Friday feels like a million days away still ):

well ): actually I’m moreso scared of facing a rejection= crushed dreams… T^T I should just savor the little hope I have until then… hangs head

@moonkittie
well, since you are enrolled in summer session. have you seen any clues on the site? definitely going to enroll in summer session after i figure out where i am going this fall.

Hey quick question to anyone who knows more than I do-

I know that SAT scores have no place for transfer applicants, but could having a high SAT score help my application? I have an average(3.81 for econ) gpa but i put in extra academic history that i had a 2320 SAT score.

@ ynwaliverpool nope.

@northbeach: yes, today they updated my financial aid page. Now, I can see my financial aid summary and award.

@ynwaliverpool - I’ve asked, I figured hey with a 2380 they’re sure to care, they said it is not at all a factor and won’t be considered

oh, well i guess ill just have to hope i look appealing enough otherwise

@Beyond3000
Applied math reporting 4 duty!
@SBlee483
Last time I looked at the transfer admission facts, mathematical science had an admission rate of 35% which is not that high compared to some 47% that of L&S but still significantly better than 6% of HAAS!
@Moon
Is that like an actual award letter(Schilarships, grants…) or a summary similar to what we were seeing on URSA?!

@SH2mathecon: it’s the actual award letter

^
Sounds like good news to me ]]]
U mind posting a screenshot curiosity is killing me! Haha

if moon9 can see her summary it must mean she’s in. surprised not a lot people are doing what she’s doing.

This is a silly question, but do you guys think that if I SIR to UCLA now, I could still be accepted to Berkeley on Friday? In other words, if I SIR to one UC, does any other pending UC automatically deny you afterwards? I’m only asking because I know that I want to go to UCLA (in the meantime until I hear back from private schools), but I still want to see whether or not I could be accepted to Cal. I’m anxious to SIR to UCLA so that I can get my housing application going and such. Any insight?

@SH2mathecon haha I was looking through past threads and didn’t really see many accepted into that major (even though they all had great gpas/major gpas). I guess they look at more than just numbers :)

@SH2mathecon: I tried to upload my pic, but I got stuck on the loading page. Mine looks similar to the financial aid web page in the video: [MyFinAid Tutorial - YouTube](MyFinAid Tutorial - YouTube)
Here is my summary:
My UC Berkeley Costs
Books and Supplies: $1,214.00
Tuition and Fees: $13,608.00
Health Insurance*: $1,782.00
Living Expenses: $12,620.00
Total UC Berkeley Costs: $29,224.00

@Philosoup: unlike UCLA, Cal actually requires you to enroll into their summer session and pay for the class before they sent you the ID and Pin to use their online services. So it is really not worth to spent 1000+ dollars just to find out little earlier. =) I guess that is the reason why so few people did it.

Wait what? You can see Cal financial aid now? On what? myberkapp?

@iMunster: nope, on myfinaid. I’m their summer session student.

@moon9 is it easy to become a summer sess student like in ursa for ucla?

@Philosoup: not as easy, because you have to fill out your information this time, and you have to add a class and pay for it before they consider you as a summer student. Also, it takes several days for them to confirm your information and sent you the email about your account

@moon9 ugh damn. well thanks for letting me know!
