@Philosoup

yeah, i got in haha

u got in also, right?

@wcwei yeah I got in. congrats. I go to SMC too. are you planning on SIRing to UCLA?

@Philosoup

not yet, still waiting for UCB.

im really torn now. since for math ranking. UCB is #2. UCLA is 8
But for Applied math ranking UCLA is 2 . UCB is #8.

@wei Oh well I hope you get into Cal so you can worry about which school to go to :slight_smile: Have you ordered transcripts from SMC before? It seems confusing.

haha i hope i can get a chance to worry.

not yet. i think all we need is senting in transcript and igetc. right?

@wei yeah transcript and igetc.

=) I have to come in here and say 5 More Days!

If you math people end up getting into and going to the same school as me, I’m pretty sure we’ll end up seeing each other in some classes; hopefully we’ll all get into UCB!

Sorry if this has been asked a million times already but has Berkeley specified what time on the 27th the decisions will be released(other than “evening” of course you cheeky beeps :smiley: )?

^ With a UC something like “evening” is about as specific you’re going to get. We’re lucky it’s not " towards the end of April". It’s not like anyone will be able to function that day anyways.

last year they released at 4pm.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1118222-official-uc-berkeley-2011-transfer-acceptance-rejection-thread-64.html</a></p>

the pages leading up to that have so much tension. hahah

Man, I sort of accepted the fact I was going to get rejected. But, looking through last years threads people with pretty much the same stats/major were getting accepted. There goes my week.

I put all my eggs in one basket and only applied to Cal, so this week is brutal. I didn’t fill out the FAFSA because I’m using the GI bill to pay for school and I read that Cal sends out financial aid emails a couple days ahead to student who were accepted. I’m not sure if I should be expecting an email or not since I didn’t apply for financial aid. I also decided to take up golf last week and it helps the days go by a little faster.

waiting waiting. good luck everyone!

^^You’re brave. I didn’t apply for FinAid either, although I really wish I did with all these “signs” people are finding through it.

Not a big fan of golf, but I don’t mind the driving range when I’ve got some steam.

On the bright side, getting rejected to UCLA is going to ease the disappointment of getting rejected to Cal. I’m not even counting down the days, and I’m not going to bother looking for any signs. Woo.

@acuvue
it is my impression that the two really independent reviews are that of UCLA and UCB. so rejected by UCLA does not mean anything. anyway, UCLA did not read my essays, and i think UCB will. did you apply to any other UC schools, and did they accept you? good luck! hope we all get in!

@northbeach

To be honest, I’m not really proud of my essays, so I don’t know if that will help me win them over. :frowning: I did get accepted to UCR and UCD, but I’m starting to wish I’d applied to some other schools at this point.

I really shouldn’t have looked at the Fall 2011 decisions thread…it’s giving me hope again, seeing so many psych majors accepted with similar stats.

Good luck to you, too. :)
