<p>So, how many people are there on this thread? I quickly glanced and counted maybe 30? It should be a good snapshot of how many of us get in. If you do, you should post your stats so we can see what we were up against. Also, I want to ask those of you who do get in to post things such as what year in school you are (or in the case of community college, how many years of schooling you’ve had), and how many times you’ve applied to UChicago because they do save files on applicants.</p>

I was a visiting student at UChicago over the summer and got A’s in both classes.
I’m a research assistant for a Harvard post-doc in developmental psychology at the Museum of Science. Took a class at Harvard Extension School last semester; got an A. Currently taking a bio class at Harvard Ext.
Had recommendations from UChicago summer professor and Harvard post-doc.
AP scholar with distinction, won national playwriting contest, multiple leadership positions in clubs as freshman in college, student designer for multiple theatre troupes, Prairie State scholar, Nat’l French Honor Society, etc…
I thought I did everything right, but I guess life happens…There goes five years of extremely hard work…Hopefully Northwestern will take me, I guess.</p>

<p>well how many ppl usually get in? We can use that and the acceptance rate to figure out how many usually apply. The amount of applicants on CC is probably very small</p>

<p>last year it was 48/nine-hundred-something. Less than 5% acceptance rate. I wonder how many were wait listed.</p>
