<p>I’m on spring break…which means I won’t have school to distract me all day. I’ll probably wake up and try not go have a mental breakdown all day. <em>sigh</em></p>
<p>Was anyone else deferred from EA? I hear there’s a very low chance of acceptance among deferred applicants. 
Oh, I’m so nervous I can’t even function!</p>
<p>I’m going on a first date tomorrow…hopefully that’ll be distracting enough.</p>
<p>iozsan, I believe an earlier poster said decisions came out at 3:30 central time last year. Yes, we’re in daylight savings time now. CDT is GMT -5, right? So you would be +7 hours from the decision. (Btw - some quick googling would have told you that.)</p>
<p>I was deferred from UChicago EA. On their website somewhere it said that the acceptance rate for us is usually ~10%, so it’s not lower than RD.</p>
<p>Seems like everyone was deferred this year. I wonder if that means we have a better chance at getting accepted once deferred…</p>

Really, I have never been this excited about something for this long. It is going to ruin my Friday night. I wish I could just accept the inevitable, but against my best wishes, I still have hope. But I will get up on Saturday and live my life.

<p>decisions are coming in less than 24 hours and i just thought i’d share something one of my college friends told me to hopefully help (somewhat) ease everyone’s minds:
“you’re going to get in where you’re suppose to go. you have done everything you possibly can. now’s the time to enjoy the results of your hard work. soak the moment in. even if you may not be accepted to where you THOUGHT you wanted to go, it’ll be okay. fate has even better plans for you.”

<p>I have a tournament tomorrow and Saturday. I probably won’t check until after its all the way over…so like around 8pm Saturday.</p>

<p>Tomorrow is the opening night of my school opera, in which I play a lead. So I’m not going to look because it will only ruin my performance. I’ll wait until afterwards for my fate D:</p>

Good luck everyone! I can honestly tell you that you will be happy wherever you end up. What you make of your college experience is so much more important than the school you go to. When I was in your position last year, I didn’t think I’d get in. You never know how these things go.</p>
