Official UChicago 2017 RD Thread

WOW! I am very nervous. University of Chicago is absolutely my number 1. Can’t wait for tmrw!! Good luck everyone

The following hours are going to be brutal…

Good luck tomorrow everyone! Hopefully we’ll all see acceptances

I am so nervous that I am going to vent my stress here if u guys don’t mind…

AAAAAAAAAAAHAAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHHAHA

omg omg omg i can’t wait! Uchicago’s acceptance rate is so ridiculously low…i’m going to practice opening my other rejection letter in preparation for tomorrow =((( Good luck to everyone! i really hope we all get in!

Man, I just want to KNOW. That’s all. I’m going to be taking a physics test when the decision is released. Cool stuff, I guess.

Anyway. Currently working it out in the gym. How are you all doing on this otherwise normal Thursday night?

trying to study for my AP Bio test tomorrow…and I have a huge AP Lit assignment due that I still haven’t gotten to. But I can’t get anything done it’s too hard to concentrate :(

I had an AP bio test today! We just finished genetics and probability, and we’re moving on now to evolution. Where are you guys?

I REALLY hope to get in. I was deferred EA…

I know the feeling. I have to study for exams in AP Calc, AP Bio, AP Physic C, and AP Chem. Not to mention AP Lit and Gov assignments, which I haven’t touched. I think I’m having my wisdom teeth pulled out when the decisions come out. That’s going to be a breeze compared to the pain of being rejected! =((((((((((((((((. Good luck to everyone! i really hope we all get in!

@stupiddorkyidiot We finished genetics and probability last week. We started the “Molecular Basis of Inheritance” chapter in Campbell (is that what you’re using?) last Friday.

ILD, that reminds me, I’ve signed up for the calc BC exam and haven’t actually started the material yet. Welp. Better get on that.

Oscar - we’re using Campbell, too. We’re going a bit out of order, though, and did that chapter when we talked about protein synthesis last month. Bio is far and away my favorite class. (I love physics as well, but I don’t really get the class experience, as I’m quasi-self-studying it.)

It’s my favorite class too! I’m usually not a science-oriented person and I only took it because I’d already taken chem and physics. To my surprise it turned out to be one of the most fascinating classes I’ve taken in my entire high school career.

UChicago just had to release decisions on my birthday :frowning: Idk if I should open it or not tomorrow (I probably will). I just don’t want my day to be ruined.

I’m in AP Bio too! we are almost done but have gone through Campbell totally out of order…yesterday we had a test on evolution and whatnot and now we’re doing the last few chapters on animal form/function/behavior.

@Kari - oh, no! Well, there’s the chance that it could be your best-ever birthday present, right? If it were me, I’d open it and let the rest of the day distract me if it turned out to be a rejection.

Anyway, I just PRd on my back squat for the first time since October! I’m dead pleased. A rejection letter can’t take that away from me :D

@luv2dance, it’s funny, because at the beginning of the year, our teacher explicitly told us he’d be teaching the book in order. Yeah, nope. Best part? We’re responsible for teaching ourselves the physiology chapters. Good stuff.

Anybody here in Physics CEM? Moreover, any girls in Physics CEM? My class’s gender ratio in Physics is absolutely abysmal, with a grand total of like, 7 girls between two classes of Physics C.

^ in AP Physics C right here and I’m a girl lol, though I think even my teacher doesn’t understand the material sometimes lol I’m so glad I have a teacher work day tomorrow!! I would not be able to concentrate in any of my classes knowing that the decision is sitting in my inbox.

I’m in B. I wish I could take C Mech, but my school doesn’t offer it, and I’m sort of a year behind on science anyway (it’s complicated, but that’s why I’m doubling up on bio and physics).
