Deferred, then accepted. I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS!!!

I’m sooo confused did they actually waitlist about 60% of students?

Waitlisted here as well. Seems like they wait listed everyone here!

Accepted after being deferred!!!

They’ve had problems estimating yield in the past two years (think putting undergrads in grad housing), so they’re probably being conservative.

Btw, did anyone else misread the waitlist letter as a rejection at first? I totally did…

lmaoo!! they waitlisted the universe! I got waitlisted too this school was my dream!!! too depressed to post stats atm

Accepted!!!

S and his friend got waitlisted

It also appears that about half the people accepted (on here at least) were deferred EA applicants

Not even good enough to get a wait list. I quit.

I got the email but I’m deleting my mail app until after my performance tonight. Chicago won’t ruin me! lol. God so many people waitlisted! I thought wait list was for ea or Ed…

Also waitlisted, lol. It does seem like they waitlisted everybody–oh well, even though it’s basically a rejection, it still feels good lol.

Congrats for those who got in!

Good luck to everyone else who was waitlisted!

For those of you denied–you’re geniuses in your own right, remember the world’s biggest successes were also it’s biggest failures! :)

Waitlisted! I think Chicago has no idea what the yield or capacity will be, so they put an abnormal of people on the wait list just to see if they can assess the situation.

As much as my ego would have loved a wait list, waiting from November to May is unbelievable

Outright Reject… :)

Admitted! Congrats to all who were accepted!

accepted! :)

Also got accepted! So excited!!!

Predater13- as a fellow black member, I’m telling you to stop being a ■■■■■ -.- where’s the proof? lol

Waitlisted. I’m going to take myself off the list as I already got into other colleges upper on my choices list. But UChicago is still an incredible institution! so congratulations to everyone admitted, and I wish you all the best!
