I understand. I mean just take a step back, think rationally, take a breath, and then post. No need to get over excited.

The date is getting closer and closer and I’m sure all of you are good applicants. If you don’t get into UChicago I’m sure you’ll go somewhere great no matter what happens.

I don’t think it means anything. If it does, it may be because I am an athlete. Sorry if I upset anyone or caused stress.

Have they announced any sort of admissions rates / deferral rates, etc?

@pennforme1

Got into Notre Dame and Michigan
Best afternoon ever

@monodrama I got one as well

Got rejected from my top choice school a few days ago, but UChicago is in my top 3 dream schools! Hope I get accepted. Did anyone else not do the optional essay, and does anyone know how this affects one’s chances? UChicago’s directions on the supplement made it seems like “no really, this is actually optional.” This is much different from other apps for other schools where its quite obvious they are saying, “no really, this is NOT optional at all”

I did not do the optional essay, and I was accepted. It is really optional.

I posted a question asking people if they did it from current and prospective students awhile ago since I had never heard about it until I was actually doing my application. Basically, it really is optional, so don’t fret.

@pennyoony @Meburi: My friend did not get one, although he has the same situation as me

How do you rescind your application?
