Guys…I got deferred. Gonna go cry now.

deferred sigh

yes sir!!!

Accepted
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Deferred :(

Really?

Deferred

I’m done with this.

anyone have an idea of what percent of deferred students are accepted?

RonBurg, it’s low. My heart is breaking because this deferral doesn’t mean much. I think it’s over for me.

I don’t know, but I would guess not a lot, since they defer more students than they reject.

Where do you see the scholarship stuff?

deferred… no hope for regular decision

Accepted!!

Accepted!

Post your stats, people! Please help next year’s applicant, whether you got the news you wanted today or a variation of it!
Congrats to those accepted, and to those deferred- have faith. There were so many applicants this year. To those rejected- they did not reject you as a person. Please remember that you will get into other extremely wonderful colleges!

Ronberg, the chances of being accepted after being deferred are slim, around 5%. Keep your head up and work really hard on those RD applications. Keep in contact with your regional admissions officer and let them know that UChicago is your #1 choice if it is. I’m sorry, I was deferred by my ED school last year so I know the feeling.

To the lucky ones accepted- congrats! If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
