intparent, no merit aid for my D with acceptance either. But, on the ‘ask an admissions counselor’ thread, Grace said that not all merit aid offers come out at acceptance, and there will be more merit offers forthcoming.

Last year, EA admit son received merit the 2nd week of February. The admissions rep has posted here before that the committee meets every few weeks and awards therefore are made in periodic bunches.

So did everyone who was deferred get that email yesterday about all the EA students in the past who were initially deferred and then accepted? My fantasy, of course, is that it was just sent to me LOL

@Neurotica No, I didn’t get that email. Maybe you ARE special!
Anyhoo, what did it say?

Does anyone know when physical accepted letters are mailed? Also, last year accepted applicants got a really cool scarf. Hopefully we can expect just as cool

@Neurotica
What did it say exactly?

A Deferral Letter. Is it typical? Vote.

Does anyone know how the merit awards work? Does it take away from the University Grant (not the Odyssey grant) and leave me with the same EFC, or does it take away from my work study, student loans, and parent contribution total? I’d like to have this figured out so my mom and I can start making preparations!!

^ I second this question!

@KK0809
That is the typical deferral letter, nothing special. I really don’t believe they had two types of letters for deferred students they’ll accept later and students they won’t. That wouldn’t make any sense, why not just accept all the predetermined students initially.

i withdrew my app and they sent me an e-mail back saying like “okay, we withdrew your app from consideration” but they sent me an acceptance package today lol

You’ve gotten your acceptance in the mail already @eeeeeee? I’ve been wondering when it’d show up in my mailbox.

yeah

they wouldnt even give me my decision online, every time i clicked on it on the portal it just led me to a little letter that was like “no you withdrew you don’t get a decision”

so idk they must have ****ed up or sent it out too early or something

I got mine too. But no scarf… :(

Lame, totally wanted a scarf (of course I’m happy just to be getting an acceptance letter, haha).

I haven’t gotten mine live on west coast. Should I be worried?

The packet arrived in California (sf bay area) today

I haven’t received a package yet. I live on the East Coast, so yeah.

I take that back. I did get it. I also received a personal letter from the admissions rep. of the area. That was a surprise.

I also live in sf Bay Area and I haven’t gotten mine. I’m so worried

Am I the only one???
