Here are my stats (I posted them on another thread recently)

DECISION: WAITLISTED

Top 25 LBC
3.91 GPA, currently a Soph. Credit overload every semester.
3.2? HS GPA (extremely poor senior year grades)
SAT: 610m 610v
ACT: 32
SATII: 640 Math, 690 Writing, 760 Lit.
AP: Mostly 4s, a 5, 6 on an IB
History & Polisci double major

Recs: Were really, really good.
Essays: Were probably relatively average.

ECs: Research Asst for Head of Hist. Dept., President of Sailing Team, College Dems, a few dance performances, various leadership in high school, nearly went the professional dancer route in h.s. (ballet). Interned with big org in Philly (where I'm from) last summer.

Have also been completing an independent study in history (on the last 5 yrs. of Erasmus' life) with a professor (who wrote a rec), and will be submitting paper for publication shortly.

Mmm, what else? Well, I've been waitlisted, so I need to send my grades...which would be SUPER were it not for the fact that I have a B in one of my classes right now, that I don't anticipate rising beyond a B+.

But there you go - stats for a technical non-acceptance.

Congrats to all thoise acepted- Not sure if I'm going though but yea, Chicago's an awesome school esp for Econ-really excited I got in and gud luck to all those waiting on decisions!

Just called up - Gerald will definitely spend a bit of time talking to you about it and will say very nice things. Example: They had originally been deferring people but ended up deciding to just reject them, so making it on the waitlist was certainly...not as bad as it could have been.

That said, I highly doubt they'll be taking many people off it. But yes, call on Monday if you haven't received an email and he'll tell you exactly what the decision is!
