Larger than 1? Sure, why not?

I'm not intending to publish my findings, nspeds. 3 or 4 will do just fine for my purposes. :-)

Online. Only things in mail was transcripts, recs, normal stuff.

Oh... I forgot to say that applied on paper myself.

I seriously think it doesn't matter.

Well, the reason it might matter is because the "new imaging system" only applies to paper applications.

They still have to scan the recommendations and such. Seriously man, leave it a lone time will tell. We are either rejected or acccepted, nothing we can do about it.

If anyone has to call today, just an FYI to call later in the day. I just talked to Jerry and he said it was still too early for decisions today.

Did he say that he will be in committee, or he should be free?

They are probably making decisions today/tomorrow.

I didn't ask OFancy, sorry. Though when I called, the lady who answered said that she had seen him around, so maybe that means he won't be in committee?

I just called the admissions office and they said we (the ea applicants) could hope to hear something in the next couple of weeks. I really have never felt so jerked around in my life to be honest.

...weeks?

I'm really thinking that the admissions person misunderstood and was referring to RD applicants.

Well now I'm not so sure. I just got off the phone with Jerry, and he says that they reviewed the files for 25 students today and I was not one of them. This is somewhat upsetting considering that my file was complete long before the 21st and I was promised a decision (like the rest of you) on the 28th! He made it sound like they were still reviewing files...he said that he would put my file on Andre Phillips' desk so that he would see it first thing in the morning. I hope that I can have my decision tomorrow.

25 students a day? Interesting. Lets assume that they actually do give 10 mins per app, that would be 250 minutes. or 4 hours and 10 minutes. And of course the 3h 50 minute lunch break in between.

Maybe * I * should become an admissions officer, sounds like my kinda job :P They probably do more than that but still...

I kinda feel bad for Chicago though. I mean yes I feel worse for EAers and RDers like me, but everyones on their ass. Rightfully so, but it must also be difficult for them to calm down angry applicants on one side and try to review applicants on the other.

Does any one else feel like Chicago will be sending out a huge package with t shirts and candy to admitted students to make up for the mess?

lol...
well I called he office...Chrystal wanted to know who I was. then she trsnferred me to Jerrys voicemail....I hope I am not intruding.

Gerald remembered me from friday and said that my application will go into review committee since my updated transcript was entered. Good signs.

I didn't call today, but I will be calling tomorrow. Jerry pretty much guaranteed me a Tuesday decision last Friday.

The "weeks" thing is scary. On the blog, the person responded that they emphasized their EA status as opposed to RD over the phone, and they were still told that it would be weeks.

If anyone wants to commiserate, feel free to IM me.
