Official Uchicago Ea Decision Thread

I can begin to tell who is who on the anonymous postings on the blog.

Im upset. I called. Chrystal asked who I was, then i got sent to voicemail. I had a friend call his direct line..radom friend and he got threw. I called his private line 2 minutes later and he didnt not pick up....?

How about we all just calm down.

so if we're one of the lucky 25, they'll give us an email i suppose

like.

decisions are coming out on a rolling basis now?

People come back here reporting what he said and since he is human it differs from person to person based on what questions were asked. So then others get nervous and call him again. And then report back here and it all goes in a big loop. We should stop hounding them.

Possibly. If you are one of the lucky ones FROM the 25 reviewed DAILY.

Is that what he explicitly told you?

At least I'm glad they are really still reviewing apps.

Over the weekend I was thinking they were just saying that, and that they would dump rejection emails on everyone who didn't get the freshman email Monday morning.

I've just relieved I was wrong.

Still, sending decisions a month after what was originally planned seems a bit excessive.

A month? It isn't mid-May.

pssht. details details...:P

but if they said weeks, as in more than one, then it will almost be close to a month. Damn I should have applied EA.

Good one. :D

Definitely EA for the win.

I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who was admitted who posted their stats. This has helped me to figure out what sort of chance I think I have.

and then I throw it off.

Cornell, 3.6 first semester, ~3.9 mid-term for second semester
SAT I: 1450

Any updates?

I hear back tomorrow (or so i was told)!

I'm going to call again this afternoon...maybe I'll get lucky.

I just called, they said another batch will be released tomorrow. And I am among those.
