<p>Show them you really want to be there via email and or a call, perhaps another recommendation letter, as well as your midyear grades. You may want to search last year's RD results threads, there were students deferred or wait-listed that described what they did to ultimately get accepted.</p>
<p>Congrats! Just curious.. did you get a big envelope with your acceptance letter? I've heard mixed rumors about letters at U of Chcago. I am still anxiously watching my mail box...</p>
<p>I was deferred last year and eventually accepted RD...I emailed my admissions officer once or twice in Jan/Feb to express continued interest, and I also sent a new recommendation from a professor I had that semester...it also helped that my grades had improved.</p>
<p>I plan on scheduling an overnight stay, and my mid year grades are looking decent. Should pull 2 A's and 2 B's in my AP classes and then very A's in two of my social studies electives.</p>
