Log into: admissions.uci.edu

Click the ‘MsgCtr’ link

Then theres a blue link that says ‘Change My Major’

You select the major you wanna switch to from the drop down menu and it sends an automated request to your Admissions Counselor

I think it depends on the majors. I switched from Psychology to Psychology & Social Behavior.

Also I did it in a weird order. I requested the change then SIRed before it was processed, then it went through. I would call admissions first though.

^^ Same here. Still pending. Has anyone been wait listed for UCI? Hmmm. What could this mean? All of the schools have released decisions already including UCSD with their waitlist. Does this mean that UCI received the most applications this year? Or does it mean that UCI received applications from a lot of people with mediocre GPAs that they are up on the fence about?

Got into Nursing Science Program!!! I can’t be happier right now! My future looks brighter than ever! yeeeee lol

my stats:
current college: UCSD
current major: human biology
Current GPA: 3.52

I was planning to be a doctor but changed my mind to become a nurse haha this is my 2nd time getting accepted to UCI! whooooot whoot!!!

by the way, I LOVEEEE UCSD and San Diego is so amazing and beautiful! there is so much to do! so if any of u guys are debating between UCSD and UCI u should definitely choose UCSD. I’m transferring cuz there is no nursing program at UCSD and if i were to stay, I will just be wasting my time and my money lol

good luck to all you guys who are still waiting! :)

@idizzle. Yea I know that both ucla an cal have released their decisions but maybe it’s cuz they have higher standards (accept higher gpa). But uci accepts gpa as low as a 2.8 to a 4.0 So maybe thats why it is taking them so long… I know all of us are tired of waiting for the decision to come out. But hey! At least we didn’t get rejected like others right? Uci is my first choice and I really wanna go there so… Yea. Well good luck to all of us that are still waiting.

If it makes anybody feel any better, my friend who works in academic advising at the cc I went to said that typically with UCI, anyone who is finding out this late is either waitlisted or accepted. (At least that’s how its been the last few years)
