Waitlisted as we. I put my sir in for UCSB, but am going to hold my breath for Irvine. I have not yet visited SB, I am making a trip up there on the 10th, so who knows. Maybe I will fall more in love with it than I did Irvine.

I was also waitlisted for my preferred major.

@Lawlking: How do you know everyone got accepted. I have been reading different threads and the two most popular answers are that everyone got accepted that was on the waitlist or UCI did not take anyone on the waitlist.

Does anyone know how people are selected of the waitlist? Are people ranked by GPA etc?

@lawlking I posted that everyone from waitlist got accepted. It is on Ms.Sun’s blog. sorry, I am currently busy and don’t have time to search for it. It is a post from march/april 2012

Gratz to everyone that got accepted and also to everyone that got waitlisted. Being waitlisted isn’t the worst position to be in. you didn’t get rejected, after all. sigh Looks like I’m stuck in SB for one more year.

Last year, Davis, Irvine, and San Diego used a waitlist for transfers and all admitted students from the waitlist (Davis did not specify how many were admitted; Irvine admitted ALL applicants on the waitlist; San Diego admitted about 20% of those on the waitlist).

I’m a current UCR student and just got waitlisted for UCI urban studies major. Anyone here applied for the same major and got waitlisted? I’m just glad it’s not pending anymore because I remember last year it was still pending while others got accepted and waitlisted and ended up getting rejected!! But then again… Here comes some more waiting… Does anyone know what are the chances of getting in from being waitlisted? Prolly depends on the major right?
