I’ve, too, declined my admission offer. Good luck everyone. :)

@LAforlife @buranka @stressy thanks guys. good luck to you guys with the other UC’s you’ve picked! Hopefully it’ll open up room for the rest of us waitlisters!!! :]

Are there any updates on uci’s waitlist?

edit::actually SIP deadline is 5/15 so there probably won’t be updates until after then. Maybe once June 1 hits, news will start flowing in.

I just declined my offer. i hope you guys all hear back soon! im still waiting for USC so I feel the pain lol good luck :)

Hey everyone!
I have a quick question… Is the “UC Irvine Grant” offered a seperate award then the grants offered on the CSAC website (webgrants4students)?
I’m a little confused about how much money I’m being awarded as a total, thanks for any help!

@priscilla21

I don’t think so.

Priscilla, your posting in the wrong thread.

Sorry, I read some other people posting about the UCI grant on here! Thanks anyways

SummonerLenne:

"I actually expect EVERYONE is going to get in off appeals (unless someone had a truly terrible gpa and whatnot) (sorry, let me rephase that, all freshman will) because UCI is seriously under enrolled this year, they made it very hard to get in so they wouldn’t have too many people register and, err, it sort of backfired. Even with letting everyone in off the waitlist they still are under for a -lot- of spots, so, ya, I’m pretty sure you’re all good

(Now to see how transfers will be! Aaaahhh!)"

@LAforlife

Oh man i hope it’s that way for UCI too! I hope they under enrolled and not many people SIR so they have spots for us!

@dancemasterv

Ya that post was mostly for freshman. But the poster also seems to imply that there are a ton of spaces still left, so it looks like a good chunk of transfers will be accepted.

@LAforlife

Whoops, where i meant to write transfers i wrote “UCI” instead. I got too excited and was thinking about UCI so I wrote that instead. My bad. Either way, thanks for the info!

lol No problem. Good Luck! :)

@LAforlife it seems like SummonerLenne is definitely implying there’s a lot of transfer spots open as well but how reliable is the source? Where is she getting this information? I mean it would be great if EVERYONE from the waitlist got in, but I don’t want to raise false hopes.

Those of you who have submitted your SIRs, have you already submitted your SLRs? What is the statement of legal residence?

@IcedEspresso

I don’t know for sure. I just saw the post on the UCI forum and thought that it would be helpful for those on the waitlist. I don’t if everyone will though, but it does sound like that she had someone tell her that there were a lot of spots still open and based on that, lots of students (including transfers) will be accepted off of the waitlist.

Just submitted my SIR and my SLR! SLR was just like a single page to fill out to verify you are a legal resident of California, it took only a few minutes.

@AncientGammoner thanks!

has anyone that has been accepted not received the admission packet

@Philosoup I was admited on 5/1, but I still waiting my admission packet. I sent them email and them said it is shipping. Did you ask them why?

@djvictory no ive never called them to ask why. i got admitted on the 27th and have yet to receive it :/. thanks
