<p>Still waiting. Did anyone get accepted today?</p>
<p>I called admissions today and the lady told me they are going to wait till the 10th to accept more people off the wait list because that’s when the SIRs are due for the people that got accepted off the wait list so far. She said there was no ranking and it’s not GPA based, and that it’s just all numbers. They’re just trying to see how much available space they have. So I asked her if it was random and of course she said NO and she can only tell me up to that much. It was pretty effing frustrating to say the least. At least I can concentrate on my finals now that I know there won’t be any changes till the 10th. Aughhh I really really wanna leave UCR already!!!</p>
<p>I literally have not focused on anything since June 1st. This is so frustrating. I have even invested on a new laptop that I may return if I do not get into UCI :(</p>
<p>I don’t get it … If its not random then how do they pick the person to be waitlisted off ? Ugh how annoying . But thanks waiting scared for the info

<p>Honestly, this is just a guess, but since its holistic review, i bet they “rate” us overallon a uci scale and select people that way.</p>
<p>Hello Everyone!!! I have been a quiet little stalker on this particular thread for quite some time now, probably since March. I checked it religiously, it might as well have been part of my morning routine.</p>
<p>Just wanted to let you all know that I received my acceptance email and financial aid award on Wednesday morning!!!</p>
<p>I applied to UCLA and UCI in October, at the time I had a 3.2 GPA. My GPA slipped after the Fall 2011 semester but I had a story to tell. I relied heavily on my personal statement and wrote about the journey I’d been on for over 6 years. Between June of 2011 and December of 2011 I’d taken and completed 41 units all of which I had to sit in a class room to complete. Upon being wait listed in April I remained optimistic, after all UCLA had already rejected my application. </p>
<p>It’s not my intention to brag but to encourage those of you who may not have the highest GPA, don’t get discouraged. I officially submitted my SIR, which was due by the 10th. Hopefully many of you will get good news on Monday the 11th!!!</p>

<p>I would also like to note that the Staff at UCI was more than helpful and I am forever indebted to them =).</p>

<p>I haven’t heard anything, which only makes me feel worse. I submitted my SIR to Davis and its just so tough not know where you’ll be or where you fall when they determine who to pick. I’ve wanted to go to UCI since High School and the same situation occurred I got into Davis, but not Irvine lol Its worse not knowing…I’d just like to be informed tomorrow. Here’s hoping for tomorrow…</p>

<p>so i applied for housing for my backup school and that school is requiring me to accept the housing offer by tmw. i dont even know my waitlist decision yet. didnt that happen to you guys too? or maybe each school’s housing deadlines are different</p>
<p>So, I just spoke with admissions. The reason they let some kids in off the waitlist wrote fore the 15th is because the spots became available at that time. As of right now, they are letting everyone know on the 15th and any notification will typically be done before 9am. So if you haven’t heard by 9am, it isn’t happening. I don’t think it’s gonna happen, is my feeling.</p>
