Official UCI Transfer admittance Thread

^ and hopefully a HAPPY new years. Lol…

A countdown would be a neat idea lol.

Irvine is not a typical college experience. I would caution any kid who wants to go there. I’m going there because I’m an adult and I don’t need the experience (I’m 29). I have a full time job and a family. My brother just graduated from Cal up north. He’s happy he’s not there anymore, but ThAT was a real college experience. Irvine is full of families and everything closes by 8pm. No joke. You love Orange County? Well, then you’re either extremely sheltered living here or you’ve only been here once.

Countdown? I just woke up from a dream that I got in only to wake up to red waitlist writing…still. So annoyed.

I am seriously doubting that I am going to get in. At least I’ll have a high gpa at long beach. Ugh.

I’m thinking about transferring to UCI next yr but I want to take some summer classes the summer before I transfer, can one of you tell me all of the orientation dates they offered so I can get a feel for when I should plan to not have classes?

^^^^^ is this dude serious?

So I love OC and hence I’m. . . sheltered? Come on. OC is a great place to live, any way you cut it. Beautiful people, beautiful weather, great food, more and more to do every day. Its less hectic than LA and the people are nicer, too.

I hope you get in so you can understand what I’m talking about.

Cutie pie, I live in Irvine. Yes, I’d guess you were probably very sheltered. Is that inaccurate?

I hope you get in too!!!

Hopefully uci doesn’t wait until 10 pm tomorrow to send acceptance or rejections out . All this waiting is making me so anxious. I hate to complain but I rather have had them reject me in the beginning then getting my hopes high fora month in a half and then get denied

Seriously all of us have been waiting since march… Three months of waiting…if I get rejected ima be so sad. :(

I agree with Karl. I am older as well and sought to apply to an institution that has less of a college experience.

I bet I am going to get rejected so that I have to wait on the decision of my appeal :/

Well reading from Ms.Sun’s blog it seems like admissions is HOPING to be done by the 15th so I doubt a countdown is really necessary since it seems like they’re planning on using more time past the 15th…

KarlMcgee by calling me cutie pie and saying I’m sheltered you are officially the most condescending person I’ve ever met on the internet. If you live in Irvine you should know how crazy a place OC can be. I’ve been “exposed” enough to appreciate how great OC really is.

If you can’t appreciate the same then I believe that makes you the sheltered one.

To all of you waiting to get in my fingers are crossed for you! I am sorry admissions is slogging you guys around so much

Yes Karl I am serious…

Sheltered dude - you’re so cute! Case and point.

Dude who needs a class advisor - probably not the best forum since most of us don’t actually go to UCI.

All you kids are so adorable.

I’m the most condescending person on the Internet! Now, THAT is impressive!

Tomorrow, I found out, we are going to be split into two groups. One group will get denied and another group will be asked to wait until early July to see if they will get in. I am appealing. Thanks for everything! Have a great summer!

How do you know this ?

Wow KMGee you’ve really opened up my eyes. I hope your appeal works out and we can be sheltered together. Otherwise good luck getting into a school outside of OC since that is your apparent preference.

Lol, for someone who is 29 years old doesn’t act like one.

“Hey, I’m 29 years old and I am a grown adult”

No offense, but if you’re 29 years old and just starting your bachelor degree–then you’re the joke. Now, I’m not saying everyone who get their bachelor degree late is a joke, just people like you. You don’t go around telling people they’re kids when they have their stuff in check and priorities straight.

Real grown adults don’t need to assert others that they are grown adults.

Yeah…I’m pretty sure knowing when orientation is has nothing to do with needing a class advisor.
