I am not sure what approved means but my GPA is not great and I expect to be rejected.

@aaespino20
I would think “approved” is a good thing? What are your stats if you don’t mind?

@LAforLife:

Major: Political Science
GPA: 4.0 at the time of application, 3.94 fall update
TAG: No
IGETC: Complete in Spring
EC’s:
- Volunteer at CSULB’s Carpenter Performing Arts Center, SPCALA, poll worker
- Interned at an investment firm
- House sitter/pet sitter job
- CC Honors program
Because, I thought I lacked in EC’s, I included some of my more notable high school activities: - Volunteer at a youth shelter
- VP of community service club; WASC committee; Co-founder, VP, & secretary of robotics club
- Few awards, mostly academic - French, English, etc.
Personal Statement: OK, I think. I’m very critical of my writing. I reused the high school senior prompt essay.

Sorry, if I’m not as impressive as others. Ha. :’)
In high school, I was more active in EC’s. In CC, I packed in more courses. I was going to do associated students, but they required a non-UC transferable class in a prime time slot. The EC’s that I’ve done seem pretty scattered, but I think admissions translated that being “well-rounded” (I’m not complaining!).

@LAforlife
thanks for the input, makes me feel better about my chances

@darkpain
thats a pretty big increase, if you did that in 1 year wow…

@TL1990
yea it sucks man, what is your major btw?

3.0 excluding 4 classes I am retaking this semester and a class I am currently enrolled in at UCI, no tag, IGTEC complete (Although for some reason, after I went back to review my UC application, I think I accidentally stated that I did not complete IGTEC) several extra curriculars, extenuating circumstances, from a 4 year to a CCC.

I got something in the mail from UCI saying they needed me to fix something for Financial Aid. Why would they send me this if i haven’t been accepted?

@jvo331 psychology. I wonder if it is one of the impacted majors…Hopefully not. :/

i am waiting as well, haha i got accepted into UCR with a 2.6 GPA (guess i got lucky eh), so i will definitely not get into UCI, but WHO KNOWS!? SO FOR EVERYONE WITH HIGHER GPA THAN ME, RELAX YOU HAVE BETTER CHANCE THAN ME!

@aaespino20

If they said you were approved then that pretty much means that you’re in.

@tinytank32 2.6? what is your major for UCR?
