<p>FINALLY… my TAG got approved on 4/24/12 10:00AM PDT. Freaking RIDICULOUS! BTW, upcoming applicants don’t have to check the site every day, as I got the email exactly the time the status of my application changed.</p>

<p>I didn’t want to fill out the entire outline for admit decisions because it hasn’t really been utilized in this thread (from what I can see from surfing random pages, haha. I’ve been following on and off) but I’ll post what I think is important.</p>
<p>I currently attend CSULB and am attempting 4-year to 4-year transfer. It’s not impossible but the odds are definitely not in your favor. If there is priority to who applies (CC, other UC, other 4-years), I’m pretty sure it’s the last 
You don’t qualify for TAG or IGETC, and you have to plan for course articulation indirectly by looking up the equivalent of your courses at a CC and then seeing if they’d transfer to UC. Not to mention it’s not financially sound to already be paying 4-year costs for those first two years. I’d do things differently if I had to do it again but oh well.</p>
<p>I had a lot of extracurriculars in high school as well as college (volunteering opportunities, orgs related to my major) and I think my personal statements were pretty solid. My GPA went from 3.0>3.5>4.0 with a heavy Fall course load as well as summer and winter sessions. Overall, I applied to LA, SD, Cal and Irvine. In for SD and Irvine, denied for LA and still waiting for Cal this weekend.</p>
<p>I had a lot of questions when I first decided to try and transfer because it’s such an odd way of going about it (lol, like if it was even possible), so feel free to shoot me an email if you’re in a similar situation!</p>
<p>I called UCI and they said if you don’t see any changes before 9 or 10 am then they are done releasing for the day like that little memo they had when they were releasing freshman admissions</p>

<p>I got accepted for my alternate major. I thought only UCLA TAP applicants get considered for their alternate major.</p>

No, UCI does for sure. I was told by one of their counselors. Not sure about the others…</p>

<p>There still a lot of decisions to be made, and last year a lot of people were accepted, so it doesn’t mean much that you guys haven’t gotten a decision yet. They probably just haven’t gotten to your application yet, or are still deciding. They do release rejections and waitlists at the end, but the release a lot of acceptances too.</p>

Yeah, I think the regents are all out already. The first batch was high-GPA/Honors Campuswide (and some taggers, but I think those people had high GPA too) and I think all the regents were passed out during that time. I was in the first batch and got regents.</p>
<p>If they’re not, then it should be updated on your admissions page within 2-3 weeks cause that’s what happened to me.</p>

I can backup what LAforlife is saying. When I applied as a freshman, I got accepted at the very end when some people I knew were receiving waitlists and rejections. So, buck up and keep your hopes high if you really want to go to UCI! :)</p>

<p>If I were to be admitted and proceeded to drop a nonmajor elective course that I don’t need anymore since I fulfilled IGETC and the 60 unit transfer requirement, will my admittance be rescinded? I took this course because I thought I would be going in one career path but completely changed my mind and now this class is of absolute NO use to me and is preventing me from studying for my other, more important classes… Do you think UCI will sympathize?</p>

<p>I hope for everybody here that is waiting for UC decisions to get accepted at least to one UC institution and to even more UC campuses, and I hope that everybody here will pass their Spring courses and so that we can move on with our lives once and for all :)</p>
