Official UCI Transfer admittance Thread

Rockoz may have been one of those admitted around 8pm yesterday or in the middle of the night?

I’m hoping that they release every day this week!

Or, wake up to an email stating my status has changed crosses fingers

I haven’t seen a business major get in lately :o

^^ that is a good thing, more spots open!!!

@LAforlife

It’s 3.4.

@LAforlife

My gpa dropped a couple of points when I lost my dad last year… My essays are very strong though.

@lawlking with TAG and still waiting!

@givemegoodnews

I’d say a person with a 3.4 for a non-impacted major has really good chance of getting in, even if they are missing a pre-req or two.

@laforlife. Great you just made me freak out even more what you said about 3.4 GPA. I’m a 3.38 GPA

@lawlking

Freak out in good way, or bad way?

Panic attack and uncontrollable bowel movement causing me to defecate feces all over my room bad.

@lawlking

LOL.

Why though? Like I said, if you have around a 3.4 for a non-impacted major, you have a really high chance of being accepted. :)

I always thought GPA is not rounded. So, a 3.38 would be seen as a 3.38 and not a 3.4 :frowning:
So close yet so far away

@lawlking

Ok, well let me restate that then. If you have a 3.38 for a non-impacted major, you have a really high chance of being accepted. :)

Maybe I wasn’t being clear. I didn’t mean that 3.4 was like a cut-off or threshold. I meant that someone who has 3.4 has a really high chance of acceptance. I feel exactly the same way about someone with a 3.38

K last night there was a batch around this time, lets hope for another.

And, unless the thread search tool has failed me, no Phil majors have been accepted? (that patrol the CC forums anways) Makes me feel a bit better.

@lawlking

Yeah I know what you mean. My UC transferable GPA is 3.47, but my overall is 3.4. So of course they’re gonna look at the overall (lower one)…

@givemegoodnews

Actually, they use to 3 digits. In other words they would use “3.47” as your GPA, not a “3.4”, and it does matter.

@LAforlife

So you’re saying that they’ll give more consideration to my UC transferable gpa, even though my overall is 3.4?

@givemegoodnews

They don’t consider your non-transferable GPA, only your UC transferable GPA.

@LAforlife

How do you know if you’re TAG has been approved? Is it the response they posted a while back confirming that it was successfully submitted?

I think TAG being approved means you got accepted lol

If you meet all the requirements though, you’re GUARANTEED in. So if you’re in TAG and meet the requirements, I wouldn’t even be nervous
