Official UCI Transfer admittance Thread

Still pending, I swear I’m going to hear back from Berkeley first…

@BusyBeeh don’t worry your not alone. Hopefully they’ll release another acceptance decision before May 1st.

Its because we are mad at UCI for not giving us our decisions! haha

sweet, my financial aid package has been updated… in case some people are curious:

My Gift Aid (essentially grants+scholarships): $13,988.00
Total loans: $15,673.00
Total package of: $29,661.00

This is what the financial aid is based off of (according to UCI):

Based on the current information submitted - I am:
An undergraduate student
A dependent student
Living off-campus in an apartment
On time in completing my aid application
Resident

edit: I have been admitted (this past Monday!) to ChE

Another day, another day pending:(

Admitted! 4/24/2012 at 3 in the morning. Whooo.
Business Econ

Congrats^^

I know this is a little off topic you guys but is it normal that I haven’t heard from UC Riverside yet (since UCI is still pending)?? I thought UCR would have less applicants than UCI. Anyone or anyone know any friends who are still waiting for a decision from UCR?

I know a friend that has gotten accepted to UCR …another day another pending has any Drama majors gotten accepted to UCI???
April 30th needs to get here already!!!

@BusyBeeh Yeah, it’s a little off topic. It should be in http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1299856-official-uci-transfer-admittance-thread.html?highlight=official+ucr</a></p>

But to quickly answer your question, I don’t know anyone that’s still pending. Personally I got my acceptance on March 2 but I don’t think you should worry about Riverside unless that’s the only school you’ve gotten into. All the other UCs should be higher priority pick over UCR.

A lot of people are still pending.

Congrats to everyone who got admitted already!

I’ve gotten into UCLA/SD/D/SC/SB

Yet pending at Irvine lol…

Last year they had acceptances in the 27th and 29th.
I just don’t get why it’s soo difficult to let all the tag ppm in already.

It’s as simple as Pile 1: Prople who meet tag criteria = accepted
Pile 2: People who don’t meet all of the requirements = further eval

Then those who input the decisions online take Pile 1 and well Ummm INPUT IT INTO THE SYSTEM!!!

My son is a drama major transfer lesterp. He also hasn’t heard from UCI yet. He was admitted Mar 2 to UCR, Mar 17 to UCSC, and last Friday to UCD. Turned down by UCLA (they take only 6% in theater) and unfortunately, by UCSD, where drama is unimpacted. He loved UCSC, and he’ll be touring Davis soon. While we are far from any UC (upper Mojave desert dwellers), I hope he can go to a SoCal school, either UCI or UCSB. He declined UCR, too smoggy.

Sorry for all the typos… Stupid iPhone…

@MaMoi77

Best of luck to your son and anyone still waiting.

@givemegoodnews that would be much simpler. divide two piles: tag and non-tag. then go through the tag first see if they are qualified or not then automatically admit the ones that are qualified. then move onto to the non-tag pile. oh well! who knows what’s going on in there.

it’s the last stretch guys! good luck to all of us! :]

STILL waiting…I don’t understand why it is taking SO long! Do you guys think they are still reviewing applications? Or have they already decided and they are just torturing us :/

^ My gut feeling is that they are behind. But, I don’t work there so I have no clue. I thought they were going to save up for one big batch, but apparently a few people have been getting accepted each night this week.

@jdom24, people got admitted monday night around 8pm and around 3am the next morning. Since then, no one else has received any change in admission status
