I didn’t think I’d be accepted, but yay. It kinda sucks they took so long, because I had my heart set on Irvine, at least initially, but now I’ve fallen in love with Davis and I’m 95% sure I’m going there instead.

Congrats to everyone else who got in! :)
And to those who didn’t, I’m sorry. Keep your heads up and remain positive.

Accepted
Major: public health policy
Gpa: 3.49
I didn’t think I would get accepted since I mostly applied to other uc’s as a econ and acctg major. I’m probably going to irvine though! I wish the best of luck to all of you guys and congrats to all those accepted!

Same thing almost happened with me. I was convinced that I would be rejected from Irvine, so when got accepted into Santa Barbara I started heavily looking into the school and fell in love with it. I was emailing counselors, looking into summer courses and programs, researching housing, and was genuinely excited to go there in the fall.

Then Irvine accepted me and I was reluctant to SIR to them but I couldnt let that opportunity go :l I still prefer SB but I’ll be attending Irvine.

Hi there! I also applied as a public health science major with a 3.2 as well. I would consider my personal statements as strong and I had a wide variety of exteacurriulars during both high school and college, while maintaining a part time job on the side. I am finishing up organic chemistry right now and was not required to take biochem. I found out I was rejected this morning, but I was accepted into Davis, so I’m not sweating it that much. I’m not sure where you stand, exactly, but I wish you the best of luck!

Does anyone know what GE courses we have left to take if we transfer to UCI with IGETC? How many units of upper division GE do we need to graduate?

^Depends on on major! For my major, I need to take about 15 Sociology classes I believe…or was it 12. You can find out for your major by typing your major and UCI and it’ll give you a list of courses+units

Well I know what courses I need to take to complete my major requirements, I was talking about any general ed courses we might have to take. I don’t know how UCI does it, but at the other universities I applied you have to take like 3 upper division GE classes to graduate. Does anyone know what the requirements are (if any) at UCI?

Interesting… so from what I’ve been reading it looks like the only requirement left if you have IGETC completed is one upper division writing course. That’s the lowest requirement I’ve seen, nice. :)

no I did not change my major. were we supposed to update both TAG and UC APP? cause I was only able to update the UC APP but not TAG that didnt let me.
