Official UCLA 2008 decision

Yes officespace, I can see my financial aid summary. And I can see the part on the BruinCard page where it says "Welcome to UCLA!" or some such. :)

hm - well as of yesterday I could not see any financial aid summary. Today, however, I get this:

Housing Status: Commuter
Financial Aid File Status: Complete
Financial Aid Notification (FAN): Not Available
Cost of Attendance: $17,628.00
Student Contribution: $0.00
Parent Contribution: $37,014.00
Total Financial Need: $0.00

Awards 2008-2009 Academic Year

No Award Information available for this Award Period.

Is this what others are seeing?

Wait a Minute. I thought everyone could see the Bruincard site where it says "Welcome new Bruins"

DealMaster: that's what everyone is talking about. If you can see it, it should be a good sign.

Yes, everyone can see the "welcome new Bruins" page. The link to "manage account" is the problem.

ok thats waht i figured

-__-

Ah okay, I was just wondering about the "No Award Information for this Award Period" - It puts me a bit more at ease to know that it's what others are seeing.
Thanks fiji

HOAX = RICHARD GERE MOVIE

My account says "Document tracking functionality is available only to continuing UCLA students and to admitted students, who have completed their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR)."

Why would UCLA post infomration if one has not signed (SIR). It does not make sense? I only think that one is in if UCLA shows how much money one is recieving from UCLA. If not then how does that correlate into being in? Its just information telling someone how much the school costs that can be found on UCLA website

Uhm...what does this mean?
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/608/houspayna6.jpg

I don't think I've made any sort of housing payments...

redpoet - we can all see detailed financial aid information from schools we have been admitted to, despite the fact that we have not submitted the SIR. Why would someone commit to a school via SIR if they don't know the details of how much they'll have to pay to go to that school? It's a pretty big factor to most people (me not included).

alansda: that is very strange. it seems like everytime a payment was made it was used with a different card. If I were you I'd check my credit cards and see if UCLA took some money from you before calling and asking them.

My point is that has anyone recieved UCLA grants shown on the Financial statement. HOW MUCH UCLA IS GIVING YOU $$$$?
I have not seen this on anyone's post yet? How much UCLA is going to give someone through scholarships, etc.... Not just the estimated costs.. Or Am I wrong and people have recieved such info?

How about people who did not apply for finanacial aid? Should any info be available at all?
I did not apply for Financial Aid, so i do no except it to be shown.

Hence I think all of the financial messages are meaning less because I think it applys to only students who applied for grants, loans, etc through UCLA or UC

Someone else mentioned it may be showing up just for the first batch of accepted students.

Don't forget to bring your BruinCard when you use the computers at the UCLA library so you don't get tasered like that noob.

hey question-i did a summer session while i was in HS at UCLA, and i can still log on with my ID/UCLA login. does anyone know if there is a loophole to change the account from a summer session ONLY ID to a prospective/current UCLA student account? maybe i can try and find out something early...

ksbr27: use your 9 digit id number to create a URSA account. you can see that id number when you log in to see your application status.

mobilemayhem, i tried that (using my application ID to set up a different URSA account than my summer sessions account) and it's saying i already have an URSA account. how do i switch it from summer sessions only to a full account, or is there a way to log in and find some clues? i didn't file for fin. aid, so i can't use that.

when you register an ursa account do you select current student?

hotel- Yes.
