Official UCLA 2008 decision

i got the financial summary, no alumni call

I really just give up on UCLA. I just don't think I will get in despite everything I did. Thank god I have a good feeling about USC or my life would suck a lot right now.

DJ: did you do the whole fafsa logon thing?

WOM- thanks for the info.! im ganna tell all my friends that i got accepted to UCLA okay?

Yeah I did it on 1/22. Seriously I dont have all the pre recs completed, my gpa isnt stellar. I dont have much but for a killer essay and some EC's.

all that said, im out of UCLA's list.

My heart lays in troy anyways

who's WOM Torrance?

woman of troy

Ok... so I'm a little confused about this whole thing that if you can see your fin aid award than your in... I logged in the UCSR and I went to look at my fin aid and all I see is the summary of how much aid I will be eligible to receive and how much I have to contribute and my parents have to contribute... is this what everyone is referring to?

yah i think that is it

Music: Yeah. I don't think it's an indication of anything.

Lackofsense, no indication of what? (acceptance)?

i was told award= acceptance
i didn't hear anything about summaries= acceptances...
i thought all of you had AWARDS... hmm.. I don't know. No time to speculate, we'll know soon enough! :)

Sorry.

Not an indication of admit/reject. This loophole is bs. lol

Edit:

Woman: Award is an obvious acceptance. They wouldn't calculate your awards for nothing.

At least some of you have summaries...I dont :(

GSteg: What do you see and did you turn in your fafsa on time?

Is this wat everyone is talking about??

Summary 2008-2009 Academic Year

Housing Status: Commuter
Financial Aid File Status: Complete
Financial Aid Notification (FAN): Not Available
Cost of Attendance: $17,628.00
Student Contribution: $xxxx.xx
Parent Contribution: $xxxx.xx

In terms of the summary, yes.

Damn Summary Is Not Acceptance?! Damn!!!!

I didn't submit a fafsa, so am I basically screwed in this whole award=acceptance extravaganza?

I dont see anything other than: "You do not have a Financial Aid Summary for this Award Period."

I turned in my FAFSA late by 10 days. However, UCI received my FAFSA and gave me my awards already. I find it hard to believe that UCLA would reject applicants because their FAFSA was turned in late. In fact, federal deadline isn't until near the end of the school year anyways. The March 2 deadline is for the state Cal grant.
