Official UCLA 2008 decision

reeeeeeeeejected.
thats what i get for applying to musical theater. do any of the 4 or 5 people accepted post on here?

Accepted!!!!

Computer Science
3.7

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

letscrshtheparty - I auditioned on Jan 20. I felt my monologues were great, but that interview was the worst I've had. She asked me some of the dumbest questions ever. You?

So, question: did anybody get into UCLA with less-than-stellar EC's, as in maybe just a part-time job and nothing else, or just some volunteer work here and there or something? How much do you think they played a part in your admission? (wondering about Cal chances here...)

duogmeg // there are many people with no ec's at all and got accepted.
I would say 80% for gpa + 15% for essay + 5% ec's.. unless you have super brilliant ec.

i agree with wlfkfrkrls.
they mostly look for a high gpa

I applied for the second time for Musical Theatre and was rejected. The dance audition was absolutely horrific. Everything else was pretty much amazing. I'd have to agree, the interview was quite awkward. I am appealing the decision because I think it was academic based. Oh well, I'm accepted to Boston Conservatory so I think I'll just go there!

Thanks guys. Honestly that's reassuring for people like me who have virtually nothing to put as an EC. So many people on this board have great EC's the competition was starting to scare me >_<

Congrats Fitch21 on Boston Conservatory... I'm a vocal performance major and I know Boston's definitely an awesome place.

Can anyone break down the "ePAL" (electronic Provisional Award Letter)? Do the University Scholarships and Scholarship Recognition Award include the aid we may be getting through Regents and Alumni scholarships, or are these separate awards? Can our grants and scholarships exceed our total cost, or do we basically become ineligible once we've hit our "total cost"..?

Thank you folks!! I got into International Development Studies!

Former West Point Cadet. Took a few courses at community college this semester to complete IGETC requirements without going over max units

i have a friend who filed her fafsa, wasn't able to see the fa summary, and wasn't able to log into the MyUCLA website who received a rejection. Do u know anyone who satisfied those conditions and got in?
