Will UCLA has decision before May 1?

i doubt it…

rbk: It is a legit method. It’s as fair as the students getting in through athletic scholarships.
[edit] It’s not like, “Oh, I know the band director or someone who knows the band director. I can bribe my way in.” They still need to audition and qualify for band.

Brayz: They didn’t last year.
You’ll know soon enough. But, prepare an alternative plan just in case.

i’m hoping we get an answer around AP testing time.

mine was declined

“haha wow UCSD and UCSC are 2 totally different schools…howd u make that mistake?” [rbkhoops21]

Yes they are totally different schools, but if you’re familiar with a standard keyboard, the “S” and “D” keys are right next to each other. I simply made a typo. =P

go4me, sorry to know about your decline. how did they decline it (on your page or via postal mail). where are you sir’ing now?

finally somebody hears back. although it was bad news :[ i’m sorry, go4me.

“Yes they are totally different schools, but if you’re familiar with a standard keyboard, the “S” and “D” keys are right next to each other. I simply made a typo. =P”

I picked up on the fact the typo due to the proximity of the keys, but I think you mean ‘c’ not ‘s.’ xD
Also, I like how I’ve just made a bigger deal out of this small issue. Heh, heh.

Also, sorry to hear that go4me.

spiral: I highly, HIGHLY doubt they would waste that much paper mailing out all the rejections.

I e-mailed admissions, they said they’d be posting the decision on the online decision site

ninjashayna: lol

and sorry go4me but how did you hear?

ns2675: when did they say they would?

All they said in their e-mail was this:
"Hello,

The appeal decisions will be available at the decision site. Applicants will access their decision just as they did when reviewing it for the first time."

I recieved that e-mail on the 28th, my decision still isn’t up yet. I looked through some threads from last year, and it seems like most of the decisions were posted around mid-May.

“I picked up on the fact the typo due to the proximity of the keys, but I think you mean ‘c’ not ‘s.’ xD

Ahahaha, rofl you’re right. I mean the “C” and “D” keys (not S and D) are right next to each other and I made a typo… man me and my typos.

i have a gut feeling people are going to start hearing back this week.

i checked my status today for ucla appeals and it said it’s reevaluating it again. the first time i checked it, the date said 4/28 and whenever i checked it the date didnt change until i checked it yesterday, and it changed to 5/2, saying it’s being reevaluated again. and then i checked it today and the date changed again to 5/3… could it possibly mean something ? that its like passed through different stages or something?

ahh i wish it means i’m gona be getting some good news soon…

No - date changes to the date you open the page. We have been checking our appeal daily since April 7 and the date changes everyday to the date we open the page. Tomorrow the date on the page will be 05-04-09 and so on…good luck…we all should hear something in the next two weeks - hopefully this week.

I know its a long shot but i think it was worth it. im a poli sci major with a major gpa of 3.8 and an overall of 3.38, will be igetc certified after spring and have completed all preparatory requirements for my major.

After I applied i was hired by a CA state assemblyman to be their field representative, usually an entry level job for poli sci majors who have already graduated, i wrote in my letter that by attending ucla, i can offer a new and strong perspective of how politics is practiced in the frontlines by sharing it in the classroom discourse. i also reiterated that i will excel because i have demonstarted exemplar grades in curriculum that makes up most of my remaining coursework.

i have to letters of rec, one from the state assemblyman, and one from the poli sci department chair at my college. obviously my boss gave me a great rec, but my prof said i was the best student he had ever had.

what do you all think?

sounds good. wait are you transfer student?

yes i am a transfer student
